Do queues for this bracket even exist? There’s like 16 people in EU above 2400 on it.
Why is it even still in the list for Rated?
Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against it, I remember doing some back in Shadowlands and it was fun to be goofing around on Discord with 9 other people.
But groups seem nonexistant, I’m hard assuming the very few groups that ever show up are very low rating or some mexican standoff of a handful of dozen veterans that refuse to let it die.
I think 10v10 rated RBG should be replaced by something new or removed from the list. Blitz has COMPLETELY killed it, this is nothing less than a fact.
All 10vs10 needs is a redesign by implementing more cosmetic rewards to encourage players to partake, not just Hota/Hoth but might aswell provide exclusive seasonal rewards and even transmogs/mounts and visual rewards like pennants & enchants.
They should delete ratings and ranks completely. It just brings boosting, cheating and other bad behaviour into the game and competition was never a thing.
I still play them from time to time, but only when I’m invited by a PvP guild that still hosts them. There is little incentive to play this bracket. The rewards are easier to obtain in Blitz, and Hero is de facto unattainable. The only real reason is enjoying BG gameplay as part of an organized team.
I would not abolish it completely, but rather replace it with an 8v8 premade format using the Blitz ruleset, which is better suited for competitive matches. Both solo and premade blitz would offer the same rewards, but introducing blitz rules and lowering the player count to 8 per team would make the format more accessible compared to 10v10.
10v10 is a terrible bracket to play when you just want to play with a few friends btw. It is only for guilds and established teams. If you start from scratch with 1 or 2 friends, prepare to sit in lfg for a long time and possibly disband after 1 loss. That is if you get your team filled at all. This is to all the “play RBG bro” bros.
all they need to do is fix the problem with premades in normal and epic bg then if premades want to play together can use 10v10 and if they add gladator mount to dead brackets like blitz, 10v, solo shuffle inzentivice people to play
This is the most unique game mode of Warcraft/Blizzard, which doesn’t exist in any other MMO. All other formats, be it SS or 3v3 etc. exist in some form or the other in MMOs. However, the legends of the current Blizzard team, decided to kill it by introducing Blitz. The idea was not wrong but the implementation was! What they should have done instead is making SoloQ into 10v10 premade or make 8v8 mode a new mode with totally new titles, ratings and achievements. In this case, neither 10v10 RBGs would have been killed nor 8v8 achievements were obsolete for several players who already have these ratings, titles etc. for over a decade now…
Cuz the price was always specially high for at least hota, 2.4 only idk also very high but quite clearly having friendsy games to stay in cutoff requires a bit more than just 2.4. One of the last prices when i checked was something like 32m gold,option for gold is there sure you don’t have to pay bucks i guess, but you must be delusional to think this is wandering into bnet currency for games no one plays. Thats why i always wondered why they rather have the bracket die than do something,but if you think further who are the people that need to buythese acms every ssn? right the collectors/whales and whom do they cater this game to? Right, the collectors/whales. But i’m glad that you can get at least the normal titles in blitz good for everyone
