I was in a few guilds, but the one I remember the most was Raven, but I betrayed them and left for a different guild that I believe was called Respawn and since I wasn’t as hardcore as them I was kicked the moment I asked if they wanted me to roll a Shaman when the expansion was coming out.
I then just started doing PvP and was able to get Knight-Lieutenant.
The person I really want to get in contact with again is Baskoot and Supa. I hope they’re doing fine.

Dyason here, Cerberus Guard and then led Infernity in some great raiding. Loved PvP and used my Paladin in ways that were unthought of at the time.

Hoodwink, Gnome Warlock for Fearless Followers guild. We completed Molten Core, Zul Gurub and most of Ahn Qhiraj before BC went live. For the life of me I can’t remember any names from the guild except Pone the Paladin. Will never forget that Kilnara fight where he almost soloed her in heal spec after we all ko’d. Was awesome.

I wasn’t really planning on posting here, but what the hell. I used to play Hammer, holy paladin, from september 2005 until shortly before TBC ended, around the summer of 2008. I’m turning 35 next week, which means I played from age 21 to 24.
Been in a number of guilds and met a bunch of people:
- Sacred Order. My first “major” one being Sacred Order. People I met here were Pekka, Gazzy, Anathon, Jimfred, Bezzal and Redblade among others. IRL buddy Telnorak at the time joined up too.
- Dominion. After some drama involving loot (mostly?) we eventually ended up breaking away with a number of guildees to form a new guild that became Dominion, where I was an officer for the first time and learned out how hard it was to build a guild from scratch and find 30+ reliable members to get Ragnaros down. People I met here were Tankler, Radak, Trenn, Klanti, Aaglakk, and many others.
- Winters Heart. After some more drama involving lack of further progress, Telnorak and myself applied to Winters Heart. Here we found our ingame home. This guild was really special (and probably still is considering it’s still around and doing well from what I can see!). In our time there we ended up holding an officer position for little under to 2 years, during which we helped the guild climb the progress ladder for most of TBC. For about 6 months there, we made top 5 of the server on a 3-day raiding schedule, but never quite reaching the level of play of guilds like Inner Sanctum and Nevermore. We were 5 or 6 bosses into Black Temple around the time I had to stop playing, around january 2008 I think. I’d still play occasionally until the summer, and then retired Hammer.
Lots of names that come to mind from those days in WH:
Trashman (later Trashgirl, the tanking gnome), Lemore the boomkin, Silversteel, Pazgaz, Lionstar, Siana/Dashiva, Rake, Kursk, Mandrake, Schubert the mad, Freakasso, Ayn, Gromit, Bojangles, Fren, Serathul, Elvenhunt, Ameelia whom I distinctly remember pissing off with my lack of PvP skills, back when arenas were new, Glen, Mistprowler, who is WH’s guildmaster nowadays I believe, Sinate, Nexi/Desh, Spamoo, Dalinos the bear, Laurentius, Grifangar, Chivalry, Tropicana, Axxe, Tvingman, Noffsmir, Potnoodle, and I’m probably forgetting a whole bunch but it’s been 13 years.
I ought to mention Lorune as well, whom I played Ultima Online with several years before WoW and is responsible for me ending up on Silvermoon.
We were 5 or 6 bosses into Black Temple around the time I had to stop playing for a myriad of reasons. I “came back” a few times, but never managed to enjoy myself the way I did before. It was a strange combination of mmorpg burnout and, for lack of better words, “growing up” that made me quit. Hammer left WH shortly after. Something I regret, but which seemed appropriate at the time.
I occasionally log into WoW whenever a new expansion hits, and while mostly fun it’s usually a shortlived experience. I might check out Vanilla, especially if there’s people I know playing somewhere.
