Skinning in vanilla - NOT CLASSIC

I beg your pardon if i interrupt the plethora of very important threads about midnight but i have a “problem”.
Im levelling an haranir hunter in vanilla zones (1-30) tryin to max skinning and lw. With lw no problem but skinning is becomin annoyin.
Im around 230/300 and every single animal is green (included outside elites) so im stuck ariund 230.
Someone tried this lately and knows how to reach 300? Thanks

In case it’s of any use

Tha ks puny. I tried. The only thing i can do is level the char to a food level and run uldaman to check if the bats are green or not.

Wetlands is where I go for Vanilla skinning.
You should be able to do 1-300 in there alone, but the last 100 or so does go slower.

Yeah.. i tried there but is green and the ratio is 10 skin for level. Same in ungoro. Ill go back there when ill be around 70 lvl. Ty

That’s just how professions were back then. Everything was a damn slog.

The issue is that we have lost the enemies that would yield Rugged Leather, it can only be procured by stitching Thick Leather today, or from drops from chests found in fishing spots.

Have you tried the raids ? BWL , molten core , ahn quirj , should have a bunch of mobs for skinning . With the current system you should be able to easily solo these raids at around lvl 40-45

Im still too low. Ill do it when the char will be around 70/80

No it wasn’t. His problem has nothing to do with how it was back then. The problem is probably that he isn’t using Chromie time and therefore the mobs stop scaling at level 35 and then he can’t cap it out because all the mobs are green.

Solution? Turn on Chromie Time.

Solution for a max level character? Scream.

as long as you’re 40-50 Chromie time is not required.
I literally did it 3-4 weeks ago on my Haranir.
