Yeah haha, although I can see them trying some funky stuff with it not being free or putting the characters on a completely dead realm and expecting you to pay to move them somewhere else. They’re probably just waiting for more people to buy boosts and then they’ll be over to milking SoM players next.
Likely lol.
Though i will say, that i would pay nevertheless out of being forced after all.
I’d have felt better to pay, to move earlier. xD
Let us hope it is the 16 of that month and not december omg… I will take transfer toward a low wotlk classic horde realm if I don’t have the choice , i am used to questing and atleast except ally for farming nodes i won’t have much competition taking my spot in any raid.
We don’t even know how they will do this.
They might just add the cluster to the existing set of clusters, so Kingsfall gets added to the PvE clusters and Dreadnaught to the Firemaw cluster for example - and then you get the option to either stay in the cluster or move to a WotLK server.
What I am trying to say is that planning for a specific server may not even be possible.
Dammit, another lawsuit. Clearly more focused on fiddling co-workers than SoM. Bummer.
I think the default will be to Era but you will need to choose to go to Wrath.
I don’t think they will send you to Era then you can choose to go to Wrath.
And then what about names, i would like to keep the name of my SoM character when i move him, possible?
Depends on if the name is already taken or not.
Depends. If they chose to add the server to the existing cluster then names will not be a problem, you will just be known as Gûl-Dreadnaught.
If they let you migrate to a server, then you might need to change the name.
Again: No one knows what Blizzard will do, and their (lack of) information is impressive.
The lack of information is kiling me mentally, more than anything. - My guild keeps asking on Wotlk: “So, when are you able to move?” OR “Any news on the transfer yet?”
Each and every single fricking time, i have to say: “No, sorry, no idea, Blizzard has STILL NOT GIVEN ANY NEWS YET”
And the lack of cooporation is impressive, from a multi-billionaire company, when it comes to this particular subject. - You’d think hiring 1 person to sit on this forum all day, and feed the person redbulls / pizza, to reply to us, wouldn’t be too much to ask? But hey-ho, Blizzard does it again, at being useless. SHOCKER (Not.)
The lack of information about this is very dissapointing. I mean its not a huge thing like a new expansion!
It’s not like a huge new expansion, buuuuuuut… It’d be nice to get some information, about what to expect and all :0
Makes sense really. That would probably be the better approach so people can also keep their names if they want to go Era.
Did you guys notice something? This post have almost reached more views than one of their own Season of Mastery posts, hint much Blizzard? Take note that this is what people want.
16 oct now, som launched 16 nov.
At most 1 more month remaining I guess?
Hopefully sooner tho.
They did say 11-13 months, so could potentially (AND SHOULD BE) now.
Expect a fair warning of 1-2 weeks before actually opening transfers, so you can already move that date to October 23, and bump that date for every day Blizzard does not speak up
Blizzard makes mistakes over and over again, SoM is technically over already.
I logged in to Kingsfall yesterday, there was only 24 players online.
It indeed is, but you cant expect Blizzard to shut server down from one day to another. They should give some warning ahead. Long time ago actually.
Some players are still levelling there (me for example :-), others are just raid logging. We would like at least a weeks notice to plan ahead. That said, I also know Blizzard doesnt care.
What’s your name on there? Might’ve seen you
