In the ending cinematic of the voidspire Umbric says “The tether worked but we’ve lost them all”…to who does he refer? We know alleria and turalyon got sucked into somewhere but that’s only two people.
Since the Sun well becomes the darkwell does that mean anyone in the voidstorm is now essentially trapped there? Is that who he refers to?
I know the light people who were juicing the sunwell got clarted when xally played her Uno reverse, but Umbric wouldn’t know that at the time he said this.
Please could I get some clarity as I can only find theories about Alleralyon and somebody saying the Ren’dorei are finished
I think he refers to the Vanguard of the Light. The one that is completely absent for some reason. When you kill the 3 paladins, Turalyon says “Vanguard of the Light, after her!” while chasing after Xalatath, but then you go up there and there is no one except Turalyon, Arator and Umbric. I’m going to assume it’s just Blizzard being lazy and that the Vanguard of the Light is supposed to be there. That would make sense story-wise since the narrators wants to shoehorn the fact that the main defenders are gone.
Also the Ren’dorei can’t be finished because they didn’t even start. They are probably not even 50 story-wise, but for the sake of gameplay the story acts as if they are a faction of their own.
