[SPOILERS] Patch 8.3 Thread (Visions of N'zoth)

I think what she said is generally blown out of proportion (and doesn’t actually address the problems with Anduin - the issue isn’t that he’s empathetic, the issue is that he’s “perfect” and can do no wrong)

insert me commenting on How Kiro is the best non-warloving character in wow.

Fun Fact: None of those characters inspire me to be a good person, but you know who did? The Toa. Unity, Duty, Destiny.

We already had loads of male characters that inspire people to be good people, but no, ignore them for the characters that suck.

Pretty sure that’s Darin De Paul.

Vulpera recruitment questline.

Vid’s 36 minutes long, so “brief” summary:

Summary

Kiro, Neesha, and Meerah go to Org to ask to join the Horde to see more of the world outside of vol’dun. Baine is there (STANDING WHERE SHE STOOD) but is overwhelmed by requests from the nightborne (vintner issues), zandalari (naga attacks) and mag’har (peons vanished while creating a new outpost in Twilight Highlands).

Baine turns down the request to join and basically says the Horde can’t handle a new member right now.

Kiro proposes they help out to basically show their worth. He sends Meerah to help the vintners and Nisha to help deal with the naga attacks (“Do what you do best”). Meanwhile Kiro and the Champion go off to TH to look into the peons.

There they find peons being rallied by a Foreman who intends to become Warchief to address problems with poor peon treatment. Kiro sets about fixing this with a feast, new tools, and kinda pointless “promotions”.

It ends with you honourably defeating the Foreman in a duel to put down any more chance of rebellion. Job’s done.

Champion heads back to Org to report to the mag’har, Kiro asks you to help out Nisha. Found at Zuldazar’s coast surrounded by naga dead. Steal some weapons, plant some explosives, blow up some powercells. Then kill the big boss naga sea witch. Also Nisha’s flying mount is a vulture/buzzard.

Champion heads back to Org to give the zandalari the good news. Kiro asks you to check in on Meerah (and Dolly and Dot). Off to Suramar. Apparently the Horde’s assistants that Baine sent to increase arcwine production have had the opposite effect. Baine sent Boss Mida, a Highmountain (“I’ve never made wine before, but it can’t be too difficulty, can it?”) and Nomi (who is thankfully sleeping on the job).

Meerah notes that the assistants aren’t being used properly and you basically swap some jobs around. You then speak to Nomi about tweaking the arcwine recipe so that it appeals to more broad Horde tastes rather than just Nightborne.

Surprisingly, Nomi’s wine is pretty good. Back to Orgrimmar. Baine acknowledges that he’s an idiot and that he’s a bad leader and now that you fixed all the stuff that he was overwhelmed by he wants to invite the Vulpera to be allies (also Sylvanas’ model showed up as Warchief at this point lol PTR nailed it).

Kiro calls it a “practical partnership”. Quest completed, Caravan Hyena mount GET.

I know I’m biased but as far as recruitment goes I think this was pretty okay. We didn’t need to see more of vulpera doing stuff on their own (us convincing them to join us) but instead how they’d fit into the Horde and what they have to bring. Little tidbits like the naga still invading despite Azshara getting captured by n’zoth and the Horde expanding outposts in Twilight Highlands are good lore.

It’s funny that Baine is so bad at leading and stuff immediately fell apart despite there not being a war to deal with anymore. King Loser.

I’m not sure what to think of the peon uprising since it was basically union busting and that’s a bit YIKES don’t you think blizzard? There’s some sketchy politics being expressed there. Then again, maybe that was the point and the writer wanted to draw attention to it being bad. Who knows.

I rate 7/10 bit too much flying+portalling back and forth but overall pretty good also no dungeons required.

What is it with furries and being fascists :S

Seems like a fun little chain.

The guy who made the video was super annoying with opening the map 24/7 and pointing at the quest areas…

Kiro seemed sympathetic to their plight, I think this was a temporary solution so he could get inside the system and fix it from there.

So he’s only ironically a fash? That’s what they all say but then they post essays on video game forums about how the socialists were just as bad if not worse than the fascists :S

Is ‘‘fascist’’ the new buzz word to throw around everywhere?

Do you even read the news?

You just wait, Kiro’s going to start a revolution in the Horde.

Patch 11.0: Uprising. For too long Peons and Peasants haven’t been given their due. Now they fight back. Lead by Kiro (Horde) and Vanessa VanCleef (Alliance), both factions are embroiled in a global crisis as their workers go on strike and the UPPITY bourgeois are forced to cook their own food and build their own houses.

My favourite quest so far is the one where you have to kill 10 scabs.

Can’t wait for the desert dwelling nomadic furry catmen to join the Horde.

Do you reckon they will have wares if I have coin?

Thank you Ion Toddikostas

I don’t get why they put Baine up there if the Horde now has a council? But at least now he’s doing something useful, so I’m not complaining.

except he was literally useless

Yeah that’s a bad move from blizzard. They need to show him as more competent, not constantly give people more reason to talk trash about him.
