Is it worth start leveling a new character now from scratch? I saw that cata has a very short Timeline, i wont be able to catchup now or ?

Yea i saw the roadmap online and many people told me it wont stay for long, how long is it going to stay ?
I thought each expansion was 2 years but I don’t know.

lvling takes like 1-4 weeks depends on how hard you trying. And its barely will be shorter then 1.5 year. Like we got insanely long wotlk that was just awfull, and there is no reason to make cata shorter then 16-18 month, for me that would be perfect for it.
Leveling from scratch will take about a Month at reasonably leisure pace since Cata leveling has been streamlined similarly to Warth one and each player by default should have EXP perks.
I mean I got my alt to level 43 within less than a week during Pre-patch and that was without any additional boosts from Heirlooms. Good addition is also city specific Vendor being moved to racial capitals that will sell you Tabard (rep gains from all Dungeons) and 16 slot “faction” bag once you reach certain rep. The bag is sadly Unique so you might need to juggle the tabards to get them on all slots.

Cata will probably last as long as WOTLK. The raids/dungeons etc are just higher quality. And yes, the PVP too
