We pay a monthly fee as much as you(elitist players, meta slave) do.
You dont pay more money, you just spend more time in game than we can or want.
That s all.
I m ok, i am a grown up player, back in vanilla i had a few bad moments because of elitism, now i don t give a crap.
Still i read many forum posts where ppl can t enjoy properly a spec, an activitity, the whole game, because of elitism.
Nah.
Get good.
sadly you’ll never stop elitism …
it is a type of person not a mindset…
they can’t help it.
I love to upset ppl like you.
You’ve never met anyone like me hombre
Someone too focused on a game? I met many, poor souls
What’s elitist about a spec being great and thus people are recommending it? I mean for goodness’s sake I play ret in PvE too, not just PvP and that doesn’t take away any point of enjoyment from me.
Most people I feel like who complain about “elitists” are those who barely do any endgame progression to begin with.
Scroll forum posts, you will understand
Competitiveness breeds elitism, its (unfortunantly) something Blizzard is intent on pushing and it’s been part of this game for way too long to stop it now. Best to just ignore it and them.
the funny thing about elitism is they are all self titled elitists…
no one gave them that title… it’s nothing more than superiority complex…
among many other character traits of the less desirable.
Oh I do, but what I see is people complaining that they weren’t accepted to a +12 SoA because they don’t have any gear or raider io points to begin with
Or people complaining about boosters in rated PvP while their setup is absolutely horrible and are making all the misplays they can do, meanwhile the so called “boosters” just happen to have gear but are also not good at the game
The thing is is that endgame at the moment in WoW is competetive - being rewarded special cosmetics, achievements and great gear - and a lot of people crave that - except that a lot of people feel entilted to it, meaning they won’t ever try to put in the effort to get those things. You have to play well, and put in the progression.
I had a 4 year long hiatus from Retail when Legion released on a completely fresh account, and I returned for last season of BfA. I went from an absolutely ungeared Ret Pally (note: Ret was considered bottom tier in PvP and mid tier in PvE) to having done all +15’s and higher and getting 2.5k rating in 2s in the span of 4-5 months, and while I did play a lot, most of the things I achieved is because I improved on my gameplay and grouped with people that had the same mindset as me.
If you are afraid of the “elitists” then find people who are also afraid of “them” and play with those people. It’s fine.
And i respect that, you can always find ppl with your mindset, pushing endgame content your way.
Still, i read many posts where low lvl content, normal dungeon or random bg, became a noxious experience for many players.
I would not queue for heroic raid and expect to be treated kindly after a wipe: it is not my content nor i have skills for it.
But ppl being flamed in normal dungeon or random bg? This is insane and unhelathy
How do they spoil my game? Just learn to ignore and play the way you want to play. If you have problems with getting groups, make your own and specify at the beginning that the run will be a friendly non elite run.
There are two problems with Normal dungeons:
- Current leveling design is outdated
- People have been playing the game for 16 years (thus want to speedrun leveling because they’ve done it for so long)
So it’s no wonder that people that have 0 clue are getting kicked, but there is a deal breaker for a lot of people: if you’re new (let it be the dungeon or class and whatnot), say so. At that point, a lot of people are actually willing to help you through, unless you meet a full group of actual PoS-s.
As for random BGs, usually the bottom feeders are the ones that are complaining. Just take a look at the scoreboard and make them face reality.
So much this tbh.
If you say you are new, then I will try to help you the best I can, and be patient.
BUT. If you say nothing, and keep doing mistakes over and over again, I am sorry, but I will kick that person.
This.
Started tanking this addon, first dungeons I did I said that I’m new to tanking, and hitting the SL dungeons, I also said that I don’t know the dungeon.
Either nobody knew it and I could just go as I thought makes sense, or someone showed me the way, what to pull, what you can easily skip (the two gargoyles at the stairs before the second boss in HoA).
Didn’t get flamed once for failing.
Yea, ppl should also explain their experience lvl, you are right
same here, when I’m inexperienced in any kind of content, be it dungeons, group roles, or BGs, i just tell it and I never got flamed for my lack of knowledge.
Maybe they should get better at the game?
I was thinking earlier “Holy… This week is going to be a pain to get anything done, the damage is insane” after wiping repeatedly to ONE pack in mists, some tries on the pack I was sustaining 7.4k hps before we eventually wiped to it, it took them ages to get them low. Overall 5.6k hps done up until I left that group because we couldn’t get past that pack.
Then I go and tank mists instead, thinking to myself that I’ll be prepared for that stupid damage.
That stupid damage never happened. I could go several packs without the healer, he had to go afk for the door bell.
The healer had to do a measly 2.8k hps to get us through the instance, meanwhile I’m pushing like double that overall up until I left the group I tried to heal in.
Why? Because when I checked back, the tank wasn’t using any damage reduction CDs nor was he using any active mitigation abilities. Those people really have no place being in a m+ key above 10. The guy legit went from 100% to dead in 2.4 seconds, meanwhile I’m sitting there when tanking thinking “what was that guy even doing?”.
We pay monthly fee as much as you newbies. You feel entitled, and its wrong. Just get better at the game.
