Ideas from and for Generation Z. But they already have the single-button thing. Can you imagine doing a raid just pressing one button all the time? Well, these are the ideas by and for Generation Z. GReat desing, great design!!!
Outlaw is now likeā¦medium complexity, like 6/10. The fact that itās still one of the most complex specs remaining in the game is staggering, because it used to be 10/10 in a game full of 5s and 6s with 1-3s existing as outliers the same as Outlawās 10, but the average has now dropped to maybe a 3/10 by TWW standardsā¦despite the fact that the addon pruning really didnāt matter for specs like Sub or Assa.
As not a rogue main I actually do like the new sub. I just wish the shadow clones were a bit more visual instead of these purple sparks that just flash across the screen.
New sub rogue is perfection. Iām glad blizz got rid of most the BS tbf. Itās a simple builder spender and I find it fun as hell. Been playing my sub on and off since MoP this is refreshing and gonna be a blast in midnight.
crazy take, outlaw is not good for raiding, it is and always will be trash unless they go back to their roots. Sub occupied a niche as a 1.5min high burst spec, with decent complexity and now its just a piece of garbage.
ofc had to be a hunter player. If sub rogue was too much for you, you could always use the 1 button rotation or the rotation assist, after all its target for players wanting the simplicity experience. There is 0 imagination on this spec, literally does nothing.
The current sub rogue isnt THAT bad, a lot of people (me included) like that we dont need a university degree to play a class. XD
Totally agree with the Outlaw take though.
Honestly, neither Assa nor Sub were all that complex before. Assa was an average difficulty spec (it really was just a slam spec throughout TWW), Sub was slightly above that mostly due to requiring a bit more fight knowledge.
And 18th day nerfing again. Sub is just trash. Single target damage was bad already now its going to be even worse. AOE was decent, but many other class bypass it in AOE and ST.
Iāve noticed a few times yesterday that shamanās flame shock also doesnāt go away after you die. You resurrect and itās still applied to you, so you canāt stealth until it ticks down.
Incidentally it was flame shock that displayed a 52 second duration on me the other day.
Seeing you cry about it brings great joy to meā¦.. Sub is a great success!!
The people crying about Sub rogue think every class need a phd or donāt even play the class altogether.
If the aim was to āpruneā remaining rogue players then yes, yes it was.
Been playing some assa in the past few days, and i actually enjoy it too. Rogue is in a really good place right now.
Assa was almost exactly the same for the entirety of TWW. The only meaningful changes were removing Indiscriminate Carnage and Shiv windows. The first is likely irrelevant to you since you mostly do PvP, and the latter was only troublesome because it uses your Enrage dispel for damage, which was indeed a design problem - but a problem best rectified by leaving Shiv as an Enrage dispel with a zero/negligible Energy cost and no combo gen, and introducing Tiny Toxic Blade back to do all the damage/rotational stuff.
In any event, Assa gameplay is like 90% the same as it was in TWW, just more flat. Somehow you only like it now?
I love sub atm ![]()
There should be more to it because wowhead guide says this:
āWith the changes to Assassination Rogue in Midnight, the āBleed Buildā of the past is not considered viable outside of low-end dungeons, where Sudden Demise can wreak havoc.ā
I tested it and I do agree. Itās absolutely useless in endgame content. Before it was clearing out packs in no time but now⦠I donāt exactly know what they changed but itās a lot more than you say.
Itās mostly numbers and the fact that CT is no longer a finisher DoT, but rather a builder DoT spreader, so the ābleed buildā lost a major part of its damage components in exchange for being able to spread more easily.
āNonconsensual one-button-rotationā I gonna call it.
āWe lower the floor by dropping the ceiling on it!ā
