Suggestion - Staggering

Hello . Just wanted to make quick suggestion .

Implement a stagger like mechanic which would prevent players from taking more than 15 or 20% of their health in one hit . Instead it would convert the excess into a stacking dot .

This way you would solve the issue of people getting instantly killed by vastly over geared players / overturned classes , while still keeping the power of player . This would simply give a chance for the victim player to actually react , run or try to recover .

Its just not fun when you appear out of the gate and your face is smashed by 2x instant 16k mortal strikes/star surge/final reckoning or whatever . What kind of gameplay is that when you are forced to pre pot full defensive cds the moment someone looks at you , just to survive the initial 3 seconds of the fight .

Problem is that some classes are litteraly designed around these oneshots. Ret, boom, fire, dh etc…

This change would heavily profit classes that do many small hitts in a row…like sp aff ww rogues etc…

As was said. This basically would be an interpretation of the old resilience. Which made DoT classes and small consistent hitters extremely good once you had lots of it.

It’s a nice idea but it wouldn’t work. You’d would just make assassination rogues, locks, ferals the top.

Granted paladin in particular need toned down. Being sat in CC chain and blasted by 30+k of holy damage isn’t fun with no counter.

Even if you trinket stun. You get disoriented and still blasted.

Force everyone to play on a brewmaster. Wow pvp fixed. Kek.

Appreciate the idea, but I think it is an attempt to solve a symptom, and not the cause.

Gear should be equal for anyone stepping into arena, or at least very minor differences (total of 7ilvls maybe?)

Having classes which burst, and some whom have sustained is good to keep the game play dynamic. But yea, right now ret palas and Convoke is ruining the fun for most people.
