The Survival tree is still unreasonably expensive, which is only made worse by terrible talents being requirements for mandatory abilities. It’s also incredibly boring, with two separate talents being just % increase to Mongoose Bite, two separate talents being just % increase to Wildfire Bomb, and one talent now being just a 2-point sink just to get our current 2min cooldown down to 2 minutes because you couldn’t come up with something new.
These trees were meant to give us back cool stuff from our class’s history, not to be filled with classic-era style junk or talents that are meant to be avoided like creating this tree was a chore for you.
Here are some easy fixes for ya. You’re welcome.
- Put Wildfire Infusion where Deadly Duo currently is and connect it directly to Improved Wildfire Bomb.
- Put Ranger where Sharp Edges is, throw Sharp Edges in the deepest bin you can find, because that’s where it, and the person who came up with it, belong.
- Connect Frenzy Strikes directly to Coordinated Assault.
- Rework Viper’s Venom based on the Venomous Fangs azerite power, making your KC deal additional Nature damage on Serpent Stung targets. Currently it’s an absolutely worthless talent, as Serpent Sting uptime on single-target has never been an issue in any way. Put it where Ranger currently is, with only Wildfire Infusion as a requirement, since it relies on you being able to apply Serpent Sting.
- Put Deadly Duo where Sweeping Spear is, make it 2 points but increase its proc chance to 12/25%. Using logs of Mad Bombardier and Flayed Shot as comparisons, a proc rate 1/4 that of Mad Bombardier would result in about 15-20% as many Kill Shots as Flayed Shot currently provides. That is extremely low. Also obviously bin Sweeping Spear.
- Reduce Ferocity and Killer Companion to 1 point.
- Reduce Bonded Companion to 0 points because it’s honestly insulting.
Also I’m not sure if Predator now only gives 8% chance for KC to reset or if it’s just a typo because of the point reduction. I assume it has to be the latter. If it’s the former, then make it be the latter.
