It is unbelievable when I watched videos. Players are bad looser and cheat when you swap gear before duel starts. Players should get permbanned for it because it is hardcore?
If the case is that someone requests a duel in bad/normal gear, and then swaps to twinked out gear after duel has been accepted I would consider that griefing and there should be consequences for that twinked player.
It is griefing because you go into the duel knowing that you will most likely kill the player who goes into the duel thinking it is a pretty fair fight when in reality it is far from it.
The only exception I can think of is if you do it to get another twink to accept the duel but doing it to a āānormalāā player is simply a cowardly griefing strat.

They should add like this way you cant swap gear once you accepted duel. It is safe imo!

Sucks for classes that have to swap to a shield though, doesnāt it?
Alternatively how about this: be careful when accepting a duel to the death? If somebody has 3 ears but some garbage greens, something is fishy.

Once you click duel and your gear will lock which it means you cant swap gear. No matter if you accepted or not, first duel will prevent you from to swap gear. Good idea? I am sure they can fix this because it is hardcore. I dont play classic, only retail. I just react to hardcore videos.

You dont have to duel people to know that some warrior abilities require the use of a shield.

I get the point that if I initiate a duel my gear is ālockedā.
But what if I start a Duel with you? Shouldnt you be able to swap into PvP gear / whatever before you accept the duel?
I sure know this. And If I would challenge someone to duel, I would first dress for duel.
Then wait for opponenet to change for duel, and accept.

I would not ask for duel, wait for accept, and then swap - which I think is what OP said happen - him being asked for duel opponing asking, then swapping.
My response was to somebody saying that you shouldnāt be allowed to swap.
Warrior HAS to. Itās part of the class mechanic.
Answer is no if you still can swap pvp. Only if they fix this! Okay? 
I have a solution, donāt MakāGora. I respect my time investment in my characters enough. And I donāt have to prove anything to myself, or anyone else with a MakāGora. If you do infact engage in one, the rules are simple. Win or start AGANE. Everything goes, flask up and LiP away!

Tldr. Only three things are certain. Death, taxes and that a loss in a MakāGora is a dead character.
