Swordsmith

I’m trying to become a swordsmith on one of my characters.

I have the weaponsmith recipes. But when I talk to Seril Scourgebane, I don’t get the option to become a swordsmith. All I get is “You just have to ask”.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I even went back to IF to double check and make sure I haven’t skipped the weaponsmith quest and it’s not there,
