Hunters can use a staff.
In fact in vanilla we had a special weapon that could turn into a staff or a bow.
Soooo… Why are hunters not included in the list of eligible classes? ![]()
It was a caster staff , even though warriors could use staffs they couldnt do the quest line either ![]()
I wish doing the quest on subsequent characters to unlock access to the mount didn’t generate unusable and indestructible items that take bag space.
Pffff Blizzard is so classist! ![]()
Not everyone wants everything to be account wide.
I personally think that account wide progression on many things isn’t good. And in fact I have been drastically readjusting my feelings towards having alts and account-wide progression over recent months.
Having played multiple alts over the past few years, I’m starting to feel that the game was so much more enjoyable when we only had time for 1 character (and an alt if were unemployed). Single character progression and what you could bring to a group or your guild was much more important.
At the moment I’m desperately trying to cut back on the amount of alts I play (yes I’m saying that in a week I made a new character and got them to level 70). It’s a very tough process, because I love them all so much. But I just don’t need to have so many max level characters, I can enjoy the game with less.
But that seems like a personal lack of restrain to focus on one char on your end? Saying you don’t want account-wide stuff for other people feels like you want to punish everyone else for a ‘you problem’.
For a long time I felt a prisoner, being taken hostage by my char, just because it had obtained so many items I was unable to use on my other characters because they weren’t account-wide back then. I feel liberated now, at least more liberated, that I can enjoy different characters and still use the things I worked for in the past.
Imagine going into a bar and tell everyone to stop drinking because you are an alcoholic, haha. Seriously though, all i want is for Tarecgosa’s Visage to be treated like any other mount in the game, I really cant see why anyone would be against that.
The easy solution IMO is let those people who don’t like account wide toggle it in their settings. Let the rest of us enjoy account wide progression.
it would also be nice that its in the Mount Collection and you dont need to make a a macro.
after 5 month its still bugged.

No, that’s a poor diagnosis.
It’s not a me problem at all. I’m just pointing out that some people prefer the game not so account wide.
That’s not a me problem, that a difference of opinion.
I’ve no interest in punishing you at all. Likewise, I don’t think you have interest in punishing me, by taking away the game I enjoy.
I have played the new version of the game and see what Account-wide stuff does. I’m just saying maybe Blizzard should start to tone it back a little bit, because it was better the way it was before.

It is in the mount collection, but only for the character that unlocked it.

You keep saying that but you have yet to explain why. What is so terrible about account wide stuff?
I explained that already. You just didn’t read my post.

I read your post, your post was about you cutting down on playing alts, thats not a reason to be against account wide progress.
It explains why I feel the game is better without account wide progress.

No it doesnt, all it explains is that you dislike alts, and apparently think others should dislike them too. Thats a pretty selfish point of view, and frankly, not a single person in this thread has agreed with you, so maybe, just maybe, you could be in the wrong on this one? I wont disguss it anymore with you, because we clearly wont get anywhere, im just happy so many others back me up in my very reasonable request.
Thats a pretty selfish point of view,
So it’s not a selfish point of view to ask that the game get made worse for players that enjoy having character bound progression over account wide?
Maybe consider how your own position affects others, because calling other people selfish.
There’s a reason why this game is losing players. It’s because their game is getting taken away from them.

Looking at your profile it’s clear that you’ve been playing for some time and your FoS’s reflect that. Are you worried that your time spend in the game becomes less significant when others are also able to obtain things and you no longer stand out from the rest?

No, I couldn’t care less what other people have, want or don’t have. I just enjoy playing the kind of game that I can indulge in and takes times to achieve my goals. WoW has been perfect for that over the years. But it’s not as good as it used to be and seems to be going down hill.
calling other people selfish.
Im sorry if it got a little personal there, in the heat of battle. I have nothing against you or your oppinions. I was just pointing out that in this particular case, your oppinion seemingly is in the minority.

There are many reasons this game is losing players, but claiming account wide stuff to be one of them is a very bold claim. If you search “Account wide” in the forum, you will see that most people want more account wide stuff, not less. Wether its cosmetics, reputation, questlines, or whatever else, the majority of the playerbase is clearly in favor of account wide, and hates repeating the same stuff over and over on every character. I am sorry if this displeases you, but thats the reality of things.
