I still have gearing options that is not only about corruption, and challanges/goals. Like mythic wrathion and higher M+. It is far from over for me 
I just killed yesterday for the 2nd time nzoth heroic.
I played since launch and i have less echoes than some random alt who started a month later, meaning if i’m lucky, 1td3 next reset, and nothing else, just because i farmed all my essences.
So no, people who started later, could be in a better position than a loyal main who played the whole time.

Late reply but I managed to get the tank essence on my alt after buying the DPS essence on my mage.
Weird and clunky but thanks for giving me that tip, saved me a lot of time <3
I feel like comitting a crime, i got all rank 3’s on all 12 chars when i could have bought spicy corruptions

This is false though, your neck will still add stats above 80 and your essence damage increases with neck level.
the expansion will be over in half of year.
untill then its still very much alive and kicking.
The Corruption vendor rng is stupid. It is not cycling nearly enough and to date, since this went live, I have not once seen the +12 from all sources haste corruption pop up, or max rank Gushing. It’s bad enough Corruptions are rng without the bloody vendor being rng and only changing stock every couple of days. Plus, to add insult to injury, not a week goes by where some corruption effect that has been fine and dandy to date, gets nerfed to the ground, usually after you’ve wasted a crapton of echoes buying them.
The way the final stages of BFA are being handled is nothing short of a complete joke and it seems like the developers are just throwing “crap to do that will annoy our customers” into a hat and randomly drawing them out every so often, just to be seen to be doing something.
