Look it seems like you’re used to reddit content, i get that. But this is my mannerism. Im expressing myself, i say what i want and dont hold back.
It seems like i struck a point about you not being good enough because you’re not making any sense. And thats ok but instead of coming with weird suggestion, be truth to yourself and try to improve. You say that everyone should eventually have similar gear because pvp wins should not be based on gear difference. ok, so just get the rated gear from pvp then which everyone eventually will get? Are you implying that its impossible to get rated gear if some else has it but not you? That would be a skill issue im talking about right here. Also i said this before, alot of people uses pve items in arena aswell so that makes it hard for everyone to get similar gear anyway. Which is the point i was making earlier, about you wanting to hand out free pve items aswell? I think having arena rated gear is intressting and something rewarding for pvpers, just like pve gives you rewards from killing bosses.
Ye you dont want to play arena yet you demanding gear from the arena rewards. Should i get pve gear if i dont want to do PVE? Just make a vendor so you u can buy all the raid loot from tbc right?
But if you’re going with the same raid team, that implys that ur in a guild. Get a proper guild then that focus on real managment.
If they go with the Season 3 system, then outdated gear will have 50 less rating requirement, like 1950 for shoulders and 1800 for weapon, like it was in real TBC. But if they go with the easy system then rating will be removed completly and there will be no welfare gear.
Shoulders was also never good in TBC and just a prestige item. No one bought shoulders unless they had AP to spend or already had a 5k cap before the season started.
Please quote me where I even asked for something, much less demanded it.
Absolutely, as long as it only works in PvP instances. In fact for all I care you should compete in arena with literally any pre-selected gear, like on a ptr or tournament server. I literally could not care less.
Oof this is just a weird take, you cant be serious. Its like you want the game to turn into a private server or something. You would like the gear only to work in pvp but the same time you want the pvp gear to work in PVE? biased much?
Well no, obviously PvP gear would then not work in raids/dungeons, duh.
The entire situation with PvE players who have no interest in doing PvP but do it anyway stems from the fact the PvP rewards are good in PvE. Make r14 weapons do half damage to npc monsters, nobody would afk run in AV then.
WoW didn’t even have PvP system for the first 6 months, it’s a weird, niche mini game that hardly anybody would do if not for PvE rewards that Blizzard hastily added to it. They sort of fixed their mistake with resilience, but in early TBC it’s not balanced enough yet so arena weapons are still too good in PvE.
It is sort of the same problem like everyone doing mind-numbing Archeology grind and burning out in Cata prepatch because some genius put Pre-BiS weapons behind it.
No, you find me on any of those forums, nor on any social media. But that’s quite irrelevant. And sure, your manners is what it is. If you cant argue in a civilized and adult way for your viewpoint and if you are only capable of insulting people thats your problem.
No, what you belive is completely irrelevant to me.
I will. This is not an issue for me and have never been.
No, and what a strange statement that is. Strawman argument.
However, everyone who is of lesser skill and is stuck below the rating requirements will be having a permanent gear-disadvantage. And to me in a footballgame or the wow-arena the win should not be based upon one side having more players or better gear. Again, this is my opinion and you don’t have to agree.
Yes. It is also bad. Optimally we would only have PvP-items in PvP and respectively PvE-items in PvE. Again this is also just my personal view.
Really dude, enough with your strawman arguments… Nobody have claimed that.
I’m sorry but I will not entertain you any more. Feel free to keep spamming random insults and strawman arguments.
Yeah, exactly, imagine that, I don’t want to put “effort” into a niche pvp mini game of pillar hugging in a niche pvp subsection of this PvE theme park MMO. The problem is, this mini game inside a mini game rewards items on par with best drops for core story feature of the game, the current tier raids. That’s my problem.
It’s the same to me as if you learned to do the fishing mini game very well, hit the bobber before it moves and position yourself so that you hit the pool on first cast most of the time, and spend 100 hours doing that, you can fish out a weapon that is second BiS after a drop form Kael’Thas. Completely ridiculous, silly item distribution. And I say maybe, if you hide good weapons behind freaking FISHING of all things, at least make it so I can get it after 10 hours of semi afk fishing while watching a series, not 100 hours of sweaty fishing gameplay. By Elune, such entitlement, so laziness, much retail.
If you didn’t get my sarcasm, my contention is a weapon good for Pve should NOT be a reward for getting good at a niche PvP mini game on a PvE MMO.
You have this in your mind that PVP is a mini game. For you mabye it is. But i want you to quote a blizzard developer saying its a mini game otherwise you’re arguments are invalid. For me its a feature that complement wow as a whole. Some people might enjoy Pve, some into pvp, some into farming gold, some proffessions. Just because its a mini game to you doesnt mean everyone shares that perspective.
