Thank you for destroying a perfect world/community

Dont you need to communicate sometimes in the higher M+ keys?

I don’t do any high end content in pugs. People’s definition of what high end content is varies greatly. However if someone wanted to find only ‘insert language here’ speakers for that they just need to tick/untick the relevant boxes.

I do mythic raiding with a guild and I do keys with a group of friends. The keys I pug are generally around the +15 mark because comms are not key. I have friends with higher scores who do pug up to +20s with groups that aren’t on voice comms.

Most communication comes down to “shroud this”, “skip that”, “I interrupt first, you second”.

Even us Germans usually manage to do that.

hey! waves

what i d like to add is, im actually glad that server based communities are, well, “gone”. at least on smaller realms. i play on a pretty much dead realm with my main and im glad i have found a community outside of my realm to play with.

even when i played on a full server, i barely had any contact with the people there, even tho it wasnt connected to anything. i suppose its just a question of finding the right community you fit and feel comfy in.
communities and solidarity arent gone, they just shifted. i think i have made more friends and had more fun in the past 2 months on discord and the forums than i ever had on my dead or full realm in game.
hence im glad lfg and the possibility for overarching server activities exists.

in my opinion newer dungeons are more fast paced than the old ones. i find myself chatting way more while levelling until maybe wod/panda because theres not much to do or pay attention to. but the newer dungeons require a little bit more concentration and me to do more in general so as consequence i chat less, if at all. especially in m+, if its not voice chat.

This is where some people get confused. They can’t spam their childish jokes in Trade chat anymore because people are “flooding it” with trade opportunities, so it somehow killed the social aspect of the game to them.

There can be as much social interraction as you want, Blizzard just cut forced socializing off. Like manual group search.
Mythic + didn’t exist in tbc, so raiders had no 5 man at all :relaxed:
World pvp was nearly always zerging unprepaired and lowgeared people. So i dunno what do you miss. Feel free to join pvp raid and get rekt by one if you like.

In short 2/10 troll/weekend clickbait thread

You know that video is offensive. Many Ukrainians died recently in civil war and you post military “meme” warfare video on wow eu forum :face_vomiting:

I am still as social as I was before also. However most guilds only talk on discord these days and I hate discord…like just use the guildchat God sake…

Discord is another fad that will pass when the sheep stop following their celebs. :joy:

Odd conclusion to draw about a free to use platform for communicating.

Hmm not sure…it has been around for quite some time now I think. I still remember when it was TS though…does that even excist anymore

Discord was popularized by twitch streamers. Don’t pretend it’s otherwise

As someone who doesn’t actually watch any streamers I can’t say I discovered it via a streamer.

Our guild switched to using it a long time ago as it was free and teamspeak was proving unreliable.

Well, your idea of an mmorpg isn’t wrong, but it’s not all that there is to mmorpgs either. How people interact with one another isn’t dictated anywhere in the MMORPG definition.

I strongly disagree. I HATED looking for groups in vanilla. I STILL hate it. I hate it so much that I wouldn’t do it, even if I had to.

That’s just not true. But you have to work for it. Create it yourself. Not expect it to be thrown in your lap.

Now that’s just uncalled for (and I think it’s against the forum regulations).

This is funny/sad to me. Because M+ is one of the big factors in WoW turning into something else than an mmorpg. This is an esports feature that has no place in the game imo. M+ should be its own server type. With only timed dungeon runs, in a controlled, balanced environment and with ranking ladders and such. It should not be part of the main game.

That’s your prerogative.

Ew yeah! You look like a thin MAN in a suit of armor, but with a woman’s head attached. It’s… gross. :astonished:

It’s when I log out in tank spec, it’s a different set

belves actually need big clompy boots, the plate socks they usually get are horrible…

Barefoot is the way to go! :upside_down_face:

Its mostly blizzard fault - they makes game more and more time-consuming, more and more harcore. Even guild invites are mostly as getting a job. Less fun, more tryhard and attitude is changing.
People look at each other as business parters, not as friends.
