I hate the fact that i’m not allowed to express myself freely on this topic, otherwise im risking a ban or mute because i don’t want to baby people who do not wish to play the game. So to put it in censored form:
The “anti-leaver” system is a complete mess and does NOT serve it’s intended purpose whatsoever, all that keeps happening is that people who actually want to play the game properly get stuck in with folks, who in their own plain selfishness do NO research, NO preparations, who do NOT try to improve their gameplay or awareness as they move along, who just are there for the carry simply.
Over and over does it keep happening to me, for instance as im typing this, im stuck in a fourth unfinished key, where im held hostage with some arrogant douchenozzle, who keeps trying to ragebait me into leaving, because somebody who does not speak the language of the game didn’t vote to abandon.
I keep hearing the same thing from everyone, i have not heard ONE positive feedback story on this garbage system.
If you want to keep this “power to the undeserving” tool, then at least make it so that the key-holder can initiate the vote without a CD, because this is ridiculous. I have spent hours and hours just stuck in keys, where people wouldnt do interrupts or anything worthwhile, where most of us wanted to leave, but somebody just didnt even pay enough attention to actually see the vote…
Progressing with pugs, gearing up alts without premades has not been this horrible since i can remember. Most of my evening is gone without getting past the first boss in arakara because people just do not have what it takes to finish the boss fight, and im FORCED to play with them? Despite my attempts at explaining it in a friendly manner, pointing everything out, marking mobs, pinging adds etc. And they get to FORCE me into this? It’s ridiculous.
