The Fangs of Ashamane

In short, The Fangs of Ashamane quest is bugged and I can’t progress.

I started a new character and timewalked to the Legion leveling experience. After getting to the Fangs of Ashamane quest I completed each step but as soon as I picked up the item, I got the weapon but the model stayed on the floor with a green outline but was now un-interactable.

I’m now stuck with the weapon that I can use but the quest did not register the progress. I can’t abandon the quest and have received no response from support after making a ticket. It feels like my character is bricked…

Hi Emriss,

No ticket is needed for issues like this, as Game Masters wouldn’t be able to assist directly, but rather a bug report would be the better option.

That said, I can confirm this has already been reported by other players and is currently being looked into.

Hopefully it can be fixed soon!

This character:
“Worgen” - Crushridge
Is experiencing the same issue. (As many others over on the US forums. As the GM above stated.

Sent in an in game ticket. After first getting hit with a bot responce that made me SNAP.

I got a responce today. Dated: 15/10-25. 13:00 ish.

This is just my unproffessional opinion.
But as the apparent forums posts for these bugs STARTED coming alot more in with the release of LEGION REMIX.
Where a new ‘cheap imitation’ of the artifact weapons are used.

I think some spagetthi code making those, or connecting the two might have gotten tangled up with the code for the actual weapons or something.

The no workaround or resolution part is questionable. But il let that slide. For now.
Il play some other new character and avoid legion for now. Altough that is what i WANTED to play.

Just fun to see after coming back to world of warcraft after about 3 years, i hit an expansion breaking bug in just 3 days. With no fix. -Lovely-

Hello, is anyone know when it will be fix?

I need to add to this: with Fangs of Ashamane bugged, my character is completely locked out of the entirety of Suramar (the intro just forces you back into the Fangs of Ashamane scenario). Not only can I not get the fangs, I can’t even get into Suramar at all because of this.

Same issue I have the fangs but it didn’t progress. Is ridiculous this has still not been sorted, they too focused on Legion Remix to fix anything in the normal Retail!

If the fix is going to take time they could at least auto complete it for those who are currently stuck!
Any bug that prevents progress in a huge area of the game needs to be given priority and sorted!!

A post is on US forums with others who have the same issue but I can’t post there.

Stage 7 - The Fangs of Ashamane

  1. I need to kill Webmistress Shinaris for Verstok Darkbough to tell me, that I’m more fitted to wear the weapon “Fangs of Ashamane” myself
  2. After picking the weapon up, nothing happens. No one talks or no continueation of the next phase.
  3. I logged out, waited some time, and got spawned at the beginning of riding Ebonfang once more, did everything once more and it stuck at the same place. This time, I coulnd’t pick up the weapon, cause its still in my inventar and I can’t delete it.
  4. I tried to look for advices on wowhead, but even there is the bug noted since 27 days and no solution yet.
