So, I have discovered today that the hidden sixth mask can strike you even now.
It’s a real mofo, too.

That’s how it looks (vidya not from me… but there’s several on there so the sixth mask is quite prolific). Essentially, the blue garbage and eyes don’t disappear, because devs did a garbage job (not properly terminating a splash/transition is a really beginner’s mistake in coding…) and did not fix it even after all these months.
If you are stricken by Overmask:Blizzard, don’t waste time waiting or trying to /reload - I got lucky, and discovered fairly quickly that if you FORCE close the game (NOT use the menus to log off) and restart it, the mask has a chance to drop off - once you get in again you’ll be at about half of your sanity (I was running a 5 mask though, so if you’re just farming, the loss will be less) but able to see again. I had to rush and didn’t check for all crystal spots, netting only 8, but still managed to complete.
The only downside - you don’t get jack for completing a vision with all 6 masks, including Overmask:Blizzard, on.
