The Zandalari and Bwomsamdi

He reiterates this elements himself from the Blood Gate cinematic:

“Yeah, yeah, so you get your kingdom back, all very nice. But soon you’ll tire of old Bwonsamdi. Back to the living loa, to one that brings rain, makes crops grow, not wither and die. No no no…I need more, than just your word.”

Essentially, yes and no. Venerating the Loa of Death sends off the wrong message despite its importance to the people of Zandalar. Not when their way has allowed the venerating of differing Loa to free up different boons and gifts.

Speculation, but…

Perhaps the Loa of Death is merely a necessary evil. He is, by all accounts, similar to the aspects of Baron Samedi afterall, of whom, in Haitian Voudou is considered a wild partygoer, with trickster elements tied to him. Strangely enough, Baron Samedi isn’t related to death at all in some cases.
