Don’t even try, you have the whole feral community saying Feral is bad (not weak, but bad), we have the best Feral players saying it’s bad, but you’ll have the same 5 low IQ ppl trolling you no matter what. Just throw them into ignore mate.
Top Feral players that play other classes say this and have been saying this for a long time - it’s 10x easier for them to hit the very exact rating they have on Feral with any other class they play, be it DH, be it Rogue or Mage or Warrior or Monk.
Nobody is saying it’s impossible, just that the playstyle is bad, it’s super hard and it’s not rewarding at all. Why do I have to work 10x harder to achieve the exact same results that other melees have. Why do I need to play one very specific team comp to even be able to think about getting rating.
This aint even about being weak, it’s about super bad design. Take power out of cyclone and put it in other places, don’t make the whole spec focus around one single spell. Remove Wild Attunement totally and just make my normal spells hit more. Fix the class tree and stop forcing us to take 5 talents that we can’t use and have 0 benefit from. Stop the cyclone spam gameplay Blizzard, everyone hates it, ferals hate it, bala hates it, resto loves it but everyone playing vs resto hates it. Just stop.

I think just a bit more survivability in Cat Form would be good for feral. Cyclone is a strong cc because you can’t be healed. But also is on a short range, just change restro that they need to change form to use it.
What is a real problem with feral is the bad balance between the skill it takes to make plays, and the reward those plays give.
You’re beung forced to go into a very, very squishy form to cast cline, you gotto try and win the mindgame by faking the cast. If you succeed you gain a small advantage, if you fail your hp probably dropped by 50% or more.
The dmg output doesn’t stand in comparison to the complexity and risky playstyle it takes…
it has to have a weakness though, , i think the form switching is a good way to balance survival
the damage ferals do is insane, if they got defence buffs id expect the damage to be toned down to compensate
ive seen more and more ferals using convoke lately , im not sure why, but i guess they try to 1 shot
a string of 3-4x 200k+ fero bites hurts within 3 seconds of a convoke

Worst - Feral actually is the most killed spec in solo shuffle at above 2100 lol.
Feral is underperforming in every single metric. Low DMG, Low Healing, Low Win rate, Highest death rate. Nobody that ain’t 10 IQ can say Feral is in a good spot and doesnt need any changes. The risk - reward ratio just ain’t there. The risks of playing Feral are super high, the rewards are low.
On what do you base yourself that ferals do insane dmg? Because I play feral myself for a very long time (this is my alt acc), and I can tell you it feels way less than previous seasons.
Bleeds on avg tick for 12k. That’s 1.2% of someone’s HP per tick. This is one of the lowest dmg it has done in any ssn.
Bites now hit for 120k non-crit. A feral has roughly 17% crit chance. So normal bites do 12% of someone’s hp. If you combine a frenzy you get around 20%-25% of someone’s hp (considering the bleed dmg of frenzy over 6s).
Try feral at some higher ratings and you’ll quickly find how underwhelming the dmg is.
Only during incarn we can do actual noticeable dng.

So looking at raw number Frost DK is actually doing better than Feral in every metric, and has actually a slightly higher winrate, but still the very bottom. Feral at this time actually has the lowest winrate out of all specs, Frost DK is 4th from bottom. Never played Frost DK so I can’t say what’s wrong with it for sure, but from what I remember users also complain about it’s being like paper and that outside burst you sometimes hit like a wet noodle.
These are solo shuffle stats from 2100+
Requires the target to be a cloth or lower vers, requires all your bleeds up on the target - Rip + Rake + Tear + Thrash + Frenzy + Incarn Bleed, requires 50+ energy, requires Bloodtalons and Tiger, requires Incarn and trinket / weapon procs, requires 5 CP and a crit. When you actually check the average DMG of FB after 6 games it’s like 100k.
if you look at face value , you make it look like feral is worse but with your stats theres a few outliers
ie GAMES played 1126 on dk , 1690 on feral
and above 2100 … 32 on dk, 148 on feral
id argue while your stats are based on percentages, if there was equal measurements in games played the numbers would be much different and more accurate
a 46% win rate on 32 games is completely different to 44% win rate on 148 games, for example.
the lack of games played indicates to me that Frost DK is in a particular bad spot, damage was never the issue its the defence and how easy it is counter, id argue feral has it easier
but thats just my take
- i would love to see stats on 100 games of Frost DK vs 100 games of Feral
that way the stats and percentile would properly reflect the specs
