First game I go against a healer with 40 less MMR, I lose 20 MMR for going 3-3.
Second game I go against a healer with 30 less MMR, I lose 16 MMR for going 3-3.
Third game I go against a healer with 80 (!!) less MMR, I gain 4 MMR for going 4-2, and get 0 rating.
So I’m down 32 MMR and have gained 0 rating even though I went 10-8.

No point in playing when you only face lower MMR, when it’s so damn common to go 3-3.
Edit: Fourth game I get matched against a healer with 113 MMR less, go 3-3 (as usual) because of a 0-6 DPS and lose another 31 MMR.

3-3 : -20 MMR
3-3: -16 MMR
4-2: + 4 MMR
3-3: -31 MMR
13-11 without a single loss, 0 CR and lost 63 MMR.
I mean, it’s a joke that Blizzards solution for shortening dps queues is to make really bad matchmaking for healers, especially at high ratings. Since I got 2400 I haven’t been matched against a healer with < than 30 MMR difference.
It’s really good for the enemy healers that gain even if they go 2-4, but to be punished 4 games in a row even if you don’t lose is just bs.
I won’t waste my time when the game is against me. Only solution is that there is 0 MMR drop when going 3-3.
There is so few healers, matchmaking start allowing wider search I guess and then puts two healers in same game with bigger mmr difference. Its same for dps, sometimes if wait for 40min long its possible get some 20% win healer in green gear to heal some 2kmmr and if look up the healer can see they are not played that spec before or have any last season mmr for it so either the matchmaking streched a lot or that is the placement mmr.
That wasnt a waste of time ? You created a lobby for 16 DPS player to have fun in, which is your job as a healer. And since you only gain slowly rating, you will have to create even more lobbys for DPS player.
Now take your 50 conq token, get back on your horse and create some games for dps to enjoy <3
Just ignore SS and go 3s as me. Slower dampening, (maybe) better partners, longer, but more interesting fights. I just feel sad about that time what I spent in SS with MW and Rshaman in this and prev seasons. 3S rounds so peaceful, and all the time I know, what should I do different.
Try it and forgive this game mode. Maybe Blizzard will do something with this Healer nonsense In the year 2087. I hope changes will come in 100 years
How is possible that 5x 4:2 wins versus multiple teams in multiple games worth less than one black swan 0:6 lose in one game vs same people ? Very often I had situation when I play for 3 hours grinding my ratting slowly, wining humbly +15 per win, than baaaaaam just one good 0:6 lose due hard countering me or unluck, and -75 ASAP. See the issue 3 hours doing well gone in 15mins ! Where is calculation there.
Draw games tank your MMR unacceptable, because healers play more not to lose than play to win.
Idiotic MMR system which consider player with -1 ratting than you as low skill target and demand you to win 6 games is unrealistic
Ever wonder why people stop playing arena after they reach their “goal”, because no healer in world can sustain his ratting if he keep playing.
I can enjoy the game regardless of the flawed mmr systems and class imbalance to a degree, but the reason I opted out is due to other players. The amount of abuse you get as a healer is unreal! It can be -one- lost round, whether it was within my control matters not to them. The lastest trend is to report me and encourage others to do the same in hopes I get banned for a misplay? Toxic and not worth it tbh.
I have just a view games in 3s but the pacing seems too be really good I liked it
BUT the tool is too empty for 3s maybe better until evening, and in soloq I got matches at 9am no problem
If 3s got a soloq option where you play one round in a random team I think more you get more Q’s and more people try too form a team themselves in tool aswell
This is a huge problem, considering how many 0-6 dps exist.
I’ve started playing a DPS spec I haven’t played before this season in PvP and I’m higher on it now than the specs I’ve played healer on since several expansions back.
It’s ridiculous how easy it is to gain rating as a DPS due to this, because healers go 3-3 and as a dps you go 4-2 if you’re not the 0-6 dps.
Healers have 3 situations where they can go 3-3.
2 losses for DPS and 4 wins for DPS.
6 wins for a DPS.
6 losses for a DPS.
DPS can only go 3-3 if a healer goes 6-0, which I almost never see happen, not when playing healer and not when playing dps because usually a dps screws up and makes it 5-1.
And to top it off, the mmr disparity isn’t as prevalent with DPS as it is with healers. You can play a game and go 4-2 as a healer and not gain due to the mmr disparity, which I’ve never experienced as a dps so far.
Yep I normally heal (2.1-2.2) once I played DPS and got instant 2.4
As DPS a really bad lobby where all is against you is a 2-4, playing bad a 3-3, and just do your job a 4-2 or higher
