Threat generation in dungeons

Greetings everyone,

I am currently in the process of levelling up some alt healers since timewalking is currently active. And I have noticed extreme issues with having the highest threat after basically casting one healing spell. Often the tanks don’t even seem to be able to regain the threat on bosses/trash once the aggro is on me. This especially sucks when tanks mindlessly pull all the trash going up to a boss, which forces me to heal somebody of the group eventually, and all the trash instantly gangs up on me.

For reference I’ve run about 10-15 timewalking dungeons divided between my holy Paladin and my preserv. Evoker. Both started at around level 12-15. When I levelled my resto Druid from 70-80 in timewalking 2 days ago I did not encounter this issue at all. So what is going on here at the moment?

Little edit because I forgot to mention, this is not exclusive to timewalking. It also happens in regular levelling dungeons. No matter the expansion.

The TLDR of what is happening:

Healing spells cause agro. Just like dps spells.

Agro is just s number. And that number is proportional to the value of the spell that caused it. The bigger the spell, the more agro.

Druids are all about HoTs. So a ton if dots, that each heal for little but over time they heal. As opposed to HPala and pres. That heal for a ton with 1 holy shock or whatever.

That is why you get agro with those specs.

What to do? Give the tank tome time to gather the packs. For him to dps. Its not uncommon to be unable to heal at the start of a pack.
