Hello. We recognize that we’ve made some changes to holiday reward drops over the last couple of years, and we can see that a bit of clarification is called for here.
For Love is in the Air 2025:
Legacy drops, such as the X-45 Heartbreaker, have a much higher chance to drop on your first attempt of the day (WoW account-wide). There is a very small chance to receive legacy drops on subsequent attempts made the same day, for players who enjoy running the content on multiple characters.
New drops, such as the Love Witch’s Sweeper, can only drop on your first attempt of the day (WoW account-wide), and will see an increasing chance to drop with each new day that a first attempt is completed.

So uh… Is love armor manuscript for renewed protodrake considered legacy?
Can imagine it both ways, legacy because only the most recent rewards will follow the new rule (so only broom atm); or it’s not because it started existing after the “increased dropchance on first kill of the day” rule, introduced in DF.
May be improve the drop rate for each subsequent attempt on an account, so players get it after few years? I’ve been after x-45 for so many years now that I start hating the event…
And x-45 was in the mount mania event to annoy even more.
I have a question to healers: I see tanks getting pretty low on health in Crown Chemical Co. Today one of the tanks even died. Why do tanks get so much damage there? Do they just stand in stuff they shouldn’t?
It was a pain to keep them up as a healer and I saw other healers struggling too, when I joined as DPS.
And why not bad luck protection for every run? I have read ppl have farmed 13 YEARS without the mount being dropped. And nice that you confirmed that its possible to run more characters a day. Its still 50%.
It happened, guys. After 15 years trying, I finally have my rocket. I am a free man. I won’t ever need to repeat this event daily with 50 characters. I do not know if I can return to the life without endedless farming the rocket in February but I will try.
