Putting words into my mouth, is no way to go. - What i am saying, is that you may like Classic Era or SoM, i do not personally, and i’d like to bail out, aswell as so many other people. 
I am not bashing them, i saying what a lot of people actually think, and my own experiences on the matter, such as what people have told me, it’s dead, they wanna move on. - If there is no fun to gain, then let those who want to have fun, and only find fun in moving on, do so.

I’ve stopped playing, but I still cannot fathom why people are so upset about the existence of Classic Era.
After all - that is what Classic is. Vanilla in perpetuality. Era defines that.
As for the TBC, WoTLK and SoM players:

Yeah I also can not see why some people need to jump into this thread and express their own opinion about themself why they dont want to play era. While OP is asking about time of posibility making copy of their char on SOM, and some others kindly invited people who are interested to see how era is doing(what is true that lately especially on Firemaw cluster) and eventually stay there if they like it.
Although i really like its not overpopulated place full of minmaxers and semiafkers or gear bis raid checkers or trade/lfg spammers about dead realm. But still of course more players are welcome.

depends on what you want to do. if you want to pvp in BGs be warned: every single game taht pops will be won by horde. Naxx gear shamans and wotf are just not beatable. so if you came for alli pvp, be aware of this: only WSG pops and you will lose 100% of the time. you can still rank but you need big ba**z for this

I thought this was about SoM not Era? Which that reddit post is about and it’s two months old. As stated by a blue, the transfer may happen in month 11 to 13 of SoM. That doesn’t mean it will happen on the first day of month 11, just that it might.

- Ironforge(dot)pro: hasn’t been relevant as a reference for Classic Era ever since TBC came out; they kept a useless non-updated archive of Classic Era characters before the connection/merge happened but then focused only on TBC/SoM.
- wowclassicpop(dot)com: since long time shows numbers for TBC only.
In addition to that, there is absolutely no other reliable way to check how healthy Classic Era realms are other than having the CensusPlus addon installed, and keep the results “pruned” (aka, clearing out from the scan all unique characters logged over the last 30 days) like some of us already do, so the data stays relevant for that threshold.

That’s you not being fine apparenly about Era and you shouldn’t compare it to SoM right now since that is not rainbows and roses and it really shows as the only reason you are so keen on bashing against Era. If you have a personal vendetta about the state of SoM don’t blame the Era community in the first place.

I do however wonder if the people you are replying to (the same people Ihave had tons of beef with in the past) are paid shills to steer potential new players away from Era and into more profitable versions of the game.
After all, Era is the last sub only, cash-shop free version of the game. From a pure bloodsucking standpoint, it is not the best version.
But that is of course one of the reasons as to why it is the best version

Just to add perspective: Niena and her crew rank to R14 on 20k a week on what is basically a private server wtih a handful of players. So i would not think them to be pvp players in the first place. They are part of the problem we have in Alliance ERA. They dont actually play to win.
Noone wants to commit consumables or slug it out against the odds. Half of them main Horde anyway, the other half have honor caps that allow you to cruise with a few losses a week
Trust me, one game with the logannax miali emerica crew will make any alliance player run away from ERA never to come back
