Hello Guys,
Let’s talk about the current state of transmog and mount farming in old raids and dungeons. The system is seriously outdated.
It takes a ridiculous amount of time just to collect appearance pieces for transmog — and bosses drop tons of useless junk like necks, rings, trinkets, etc. The whole process is frustrating, exhausting, and, most importantly, it drives away new players.
After 20 years, we have an enormous amount of class sets, weapons, cosmetic items, and mounts — and yet, the drop system hasn’t evolved.
And don’t even get me started on the ridiculous 0.001% drop chance for raid mounts .
Why not use the same system you already have for holiday events — one chance per day per account, with increasing drop chances each day?
Why can’t we have something like that for raid mounts — one shot per week per account, with stacking drop chances? That would actually motivate players to keep trying instead of just giving up.
The transmog situation is just insane right now. For example — I’ve been farming the flower crown from the second boss in Mists of Tirna Scithe, and it simply won’t drop.
It’s just a cosmetic crown, yet it has an absurdly low drop rate. I’d love to personally thank the “brilliant” game designer who thought that was a good idea.
I’m suggesting a new Legacy Mode for old raids:
- Only transmog-relevant gear and mounts drop
- Drop chances increase over time
- Buff to movement speed for faster clears
This kind of change would make farming more rewarding and less punishing.
These artificial time sinks and ultra-low drop rates don’t help retain players — they just push them away.
Please, make the game more fun and welcoming — for both veterans and those who are just setting foot in Azeroth.
