TWW Cinematic vs In Game

In cinematic we saw Anduin and Thrall in Silithus, looking at the gift Sargeras brought to our world. Anduin was desperate and Thrall was consoling him.

In game, so far we stopped bug people and overthrow the goblin boss. With one season left of this expansion, season three should be about Anduin and his traumatic experiences, but will it be ?

I know the end of this expansion will be connected to midnight, but making the cinematic about two big characters and not showing them in game so far ?

Makes me think we will have a quick story in third season and it will not make any sense.

Giving Blizzard the benefit of the doubt, I think the cinematic reflects the story that Chris Metzen wants to tell for the World Soul Saga.
Parts of The War Within was already in production when he came back to the team, so the expansion we’re playing today is likely a mix of the old story and Chris Metzen’s story. Some parts are relevant to the World Soul Saga and other parts aren’t, but they’re still included because they were already made. And other parts seem retrofitted to kind of be relevant to the World Soul Saga.

It’s a bit of a mess, but I think the advantage of doing a saga in three parts, is that Blizzard gets a lot of opportunity to straighten the story out and move it in the direction that Chris Metzen wants, so it reflects his vision. They’re simply working with a longer trajectory so they can afford it if The War Within is a bit of a mess.

And we’re going to space in the next patch.
So Silithus cinematic into secret island and spiders in a cave, into secret viking island, into Goblin city, into space world.
It is what it is.

We followed anduin in the leveling and he sorted his issues during a w with fearin. Sure I thought we’d see more of him but meh no great loss. Of all the problems this expac has story ain’t one

The TWW cinematic gave me the impression that Faerin was going to be a badass. Turns out she sounds like a child.

Heh yea same here. Faeryn in TWW cinematic gave an impression of her being a badass, fanatical and merciless crusader. A veteran of thousands of battles who lost her eye and arm in one of many wars she has waged over her long brutal life. One who leads houndreds of her comrades knowing that each one who falls, dies well for they gave their life for the Holy Flame.
So basicly intro gave us general Steelstrike.

But to be honest I prefer the in game version of Faeryn who is a mix of Yrel from WoD with little bit of Tracer from Overwatch. Now the true question is, will she and Anduin end up as a couple? They’ve already hold hands which, if all the Korean dramas I saw on Netflix are to be belived, a sure sign they will be togather and will kiss in like 5 episodes.

She also doesnt like cats, that bastard!

We had a nice bit of Anduin in the campaign, struggeling with having lost his light and in the end finding back to the light again.

The Hallowfall questline touches on this. I feel satisfied as part 1 of 3 of a story.

Anduin and Thrall had a “Stay a While and listen” at some point during the max lvl campaign that was like a reflection of the cinematic; think they’re done with it.
