US Forum / EU Forum

Greeting Forums !

I just wanted to know why the English US forums is plit with English EU forums ?

I mean for in game i totally understand : more you are far more you gonna get network issue in the game so you have to set game server more closer to customer to provide better experience on network.

But i mean in Forum Website you don’t have that much information that is send/recieved exepted when someone write and post something on the forums and like a topic.

Edit: that part is a mistake i've done, i just didn't see the tiny underline in "developpement" categroy for shadowland feedback

And now we see that the Alpha Forum section is only given in US forum and in EU we don’t get it yet. Maybe i can understand that they given only to US account because the game server is located in USA but still forum for Shadowlands is not on EU.

Beside that difference i understand for FR / DE / ES forums difference from EN since there’s language issue, but EN and US speak the same language ! Why not sharing our idea on the same topic for feedback than getting 2 differents tread ( or even more if Asian got a forums too ?) so when we speak about a subject we ca make “Mega-thread” instead of multiple topic for the same subject. And it’s easier for Developper when they want feedback they don’t have to open all window for each same subject topics and they got all in one place.

Well, all i want is the world reunited since we play all the same game, are we  ?

No idea. I would prefer merged forums and only split regions based on language and Patch-notes based on region like other games are doing.

Now to something completley different.

That’s mainly because the only Alpha server (Maw) is on the US server farms. When Beta hits and we get more servers and players, there will be Eu realms. That said, there is a larger US community team that monitor it all, the Eu community team has shrunk quite a lot of late.

Because EU and NA are different clients. NA forums are linked to NA client so you can find someone’s character. EU forums are linked to ours so basically it’s client related.

EU community is bigger than NA one 100% sure. Gladiator cutoffs might be one indication of it. Another is the amount of guilds and servers.

Yes but now we got the technology to show a EU character on a US website already, or we couldn’t be able to link with our EU account US post i think.

Because US (Activision + Blizzard) dont care about EUs opinion. They only care about US guys.

Can you find us character in the forum’s browser? No mate. I don’t know. Maybe they just don’t give crap about us. They always favoured NA.

If they favored NA over EU, why should they pay server for hosting EU forum, it’s better to reunite all in one than 2 server and actualizing both server.

Because there is an imitation of attention they give us. Dude I can name call you and reacting to it will take few days while in US forums devs react in matter of minutes xD There are 2-3 peope probably for the whole EU forums. Also take a look at the fact that all news are links coppied from US forums xD

Community TEAM… not players… as in the CM’s. We only have one remaining… Thyvene. The rest of the community team are US.

I do expect (and I mean expect, not a definite) that we will get similar forums on EU as it moves forward. I along with everyone else would be unhappy if we do not. But it is still early days… too early to raise the pitchforks just yet.

If you are Blizzard employee at the moment I feel sorry for you that you have to read all this backlash because of incompetent devs. It’s of course not your fault but it must be really bad job to be a community manager or any forum worker xD

I’m not. But whilst I am sure your comments are more than welcome by the Blizzard staff, all feedback, even the bad stuff has relevance.

I can totally understand the view that as usual the EU don’t have feedback forums that the US do… I hope its just the fact that is because the EU side is a bit more understaffed than the US side right now.

Who knows… time will tell.

Never heard any alpha or beta server ever in EU. I was in bfa and legion alpha and beta, and all the servers were 200+ms. They were only separated by name to prevent overcrowding one server.

PTR servers also in the US.

because the usa forums all speak the same language unlike the european forums

When i mean EU i mean EN forums, i understand to split language but split a language by country i don’t agree.

the european english forums are not just for the uk. in case you havent noticed there are plenty of european countries that do not have their own forums. Maybe you missed alot of posts with broken english on these forums? Wich is something they probably do not want on the usa forums.

What I did was do a starter account on US side, levelled to 10 and now I can use the Alpha forums on US site.

It’s not the first time EU is treated like worse sort of the customers. Do you remember WoD? In EU during MoP most of the PvP players went to alliance because it was and is better due to racials while hord is better PvE.

In US people were so used to play Horde PvP that they didn’t bother about it. Blizzard checked PvP stats and made statement that due to huge horde advantage in PvP in terms of numbers they will nerf horde’s racials. Guess what happened 100% of EU PvP players went alliance and horde PvP was dead for the whole expansion.

Yes you can do that but don’t you want your character EU able to post in US forum instead of passing by Starter account :frowning: ?
