Opinions can be well founded or, if they are based on nothing, pure speculations. Me saying you are speculating isn’t the same as me saying you are not just giving your opinion. It’s obviously just your opinion. I call it speculation because there’s no basis for it. Blizzard says it’s not a bug, therefore this is how it was designed. If it wasn’t designed like this, but it was working like this it would be a bug…but…
You didnt read anything i posted about the transmog set or the edition stuff then.
Which is fine, you just read what works for you.

Lets construct a timeline.
- Shadowlands gets announced at Blizzcon on November 3rd 2019.
- 3 pre-order editions are shown and able to be pre-ordered / purchased from Blizzcon and onwards.
- 2 months pass and people pre-purchase all sort of editions
- January 5th or so: community posts topics like: Transmog set obtainable with just the basic edition aslong as i can find a player with the mount
- 2 or 3 days pass by and Blizzard responds: This isnt a bug and is intended
- another day or 2 have passed since the statement, yet the Shadowlands website isnt updated yet with: Basic Edition includes or opens the option to gain the Transmog set.
If this was all intended from the start, it should have been included in the listing for the different editions when pre-purchasing.
They failed to do so, so they end up with people asking for refunds based on the law we have in most countries given false advertising etc.
Why isnt the website up to date yet, showing the set is obtainable with the basic edition? Because i dont think people bother checking blue posts before updating or buying into the new expansion.
If it is a bug or was a bug, why wasnt there a blue post just a few days after Blizzcon: we noticed / forgot to mention during blizzcon: the transmog set is obtainable with just the basic edition so we want to clarify this is intended and not a bug.
Yet it takes 2 months and multiple community posts asking if it is a bug or not.
Ill let you decide what happened and what is going on, but my opinion remains the same on the above mentioned points.

I don´t remember last time when blizzard apologise for something it must been long time ago… But that shouldn´t keep me from thanking you for your useful presence on forums.
In last Blizzcon for the HK stuff. They can do it, now they just have to get into it again!
I personally feel blizzard have intentionally mislead players to sell the higher price pre-orders. But have also made this announcement to sell more of the base editions to those who were on the fence.
I’m more inclined to buy the base edition now than the heroric. I brought the heroric for bfa got 2 mounts which I never use however I did use the boost and for an extra £15 it still works out a saving so I might buy the heroric for that.

I also dont use said mounts, except for my mount collection.
