Yep and who cares if Void elves get normal hair colors Blood elves will get more things in the future. And so does the other core/allied races.
I know and I said that too. Or at least I thought I did.
I suppose I should have used the word âexceptâ instead but hey, Iâm not a native speaker so I do make mistakes.
And I used that specific word in the context of their story which has been nothing but a string of losses and humiliation ever since they were forced out from Gilneas.
Just wait and see what the future brings.
All those colours have plenty of different shades that are quite distinct. Just because pure void energies use a particular shade of purple, for example, one that is bluer, that doesnât mean void elves canât have shades of purple that are redder (which happen to be my favourite ). Right now the voidy colours used are too close to pure void energy, but there are a lot of distinct options of blue, purple and green that could be used.
Now that I think about it, if Blizzard would just give us lighter blue options, to go with the lighter skin tones you see, other RP possibilities would be opened. For void elves, yes, no other ulterior motives
Ah yes, the Alliance Hero who was in Argus for years and consumed a darkened Naaru.
See the difference between Alleria and your common standard Void elf?
In my opinion playable Void elves are similar to Magister Umbric rather than Alleria.
I suppose we agree to disagree.
And then you have the new generation of High/Void elves With normal hair styles and hair colors.
The Horde can deny that sheâs a void elf all they want, but at the end of the day this wonât change anything. Sheâs been mentioned as a Void elf in the book, she is the official leader alongside Umbric, and she has the Void elf racial which turns her super voidy while in Combat.
She just looks natural. And perhaps she and Umbric are both racial leaders to show the diversity of the appearances of Void elves, some who look normal because they control the void, while others who are more appearing to be the void (like Umbric).
Another theory why both are Racial leaders is because Alleria was originally a High elf, while Umbric was originally a Blood elf. Thus together they can work on inviting Belfes and Helves into the study of the void.
Which reminds me, in the rift there are natural looking students from Silvermoon and the Silver covenant.
Point is, natural skin makes sense. Hair color (donât care much for it) also makes sense. But I like how they look with the customization theyâve shown with just natural skin and eye color. Slightly natural, yet not completely because their hair color is void colored. Itâs unique and I like the mixture of both.
Canât wait for Shadowlands super excited
They arenât different races.
High Elves are Blood Elves, remember? After all, you lot are the side that keep parroting that fact everyone knows. Void Elves ARE Blood Elves.
I donât care if you canât take the truth seriously, itâs the truth: Nightborne ARE based on the Night Elf model and they are clearly meant to be a counterpart to Alliance getting Void Elves.
Yes, thereâs no other case - though again Nightborne are very close - to âcopyingâ an existing race to another faction. Of course you can conveniently ignore the fact that the race has always been on Alliance⌠but you know you wouldnât mention that would you because it undermines you âargumentsâ.
Stop pretending everything is the same and fits under the same argument. High Elf appearances on Void Elves is NOTHING like, say, giving Alliance Orcs-- because thatâs the kind of argument youâre trying to make isnât it?
Void Elves are a corruption of Blood Elves, they arenât in fact their own race but a corruption of an existing one. Blizzard clearly has decided there isnât anything lost because they have finally accepted the existence of High Elves on Alliance, and also the fact of their being Wayfarers in the Rift, and the fact that the original crack team of blue elves were unique and that new recruits could easily retain their normal appearances.
Again, of course Nightborne are the Hordeâs answer to Night Elves. They are simply a different flavour of them. Void Elves do not need to be just as different as those two because of the reasons I have already stated.
Also stop with these âstealing uniquenessâ nonsense. You arenât in fact losing anything, because AGAIN Void Elves and High Elves are also Thalassian Elves, so what have you lost? I refuse to believe you game experience is going to be hindered because on Alliance some other Thalassian elves will be running around with normal flesh tones.
Also why do these new options have to mean the Void Elf theme is going to be stifled? Their story can be expanded upon with or without normal skin tones and even normal hair tints.
Iâd happily trade you white, black and one shade of blonde hair colours, and a couple of the hairs (maybe a beard too?) For those hairstyles alone for my blood elfs!
I think adding the tentacles as an accessory option is the best idea any one could suggest too, since if you take the different ones off the hair (separate them out I mean) from the already available hair, and allow the 3 non void hair colours to be used on any style, you get a lot more flexibility for void elf hair/tentacles combos.
And while the size of the shading on the skin in the last skin colour (pale belf with blue hands+feet) is much higher up than I would like, thatâs what I thought a void elf would look like.
AlsoâŚyay for someone realising that underwear is not part of your skin! They forgot to paste the void tightly whightys over onto the belf skin meshes XD tho they are smaller, so I guess the skin textures would need touching up at the edge of the undies lol
If void elves were as different from blood elves as nightborne are from night elves I wouldnât be complaining.
Itâs not important to you but it is important to me, so Iâll continue to argue in favour of having distinct and unique looks for different races.
When did I said sheâs not a Void elf?
Actually, I said she is but sheâs not your average playable elf.
Using your logic I could ask why my character canât look like Bolvar if he, technically, is a Death Knight.
Both, Umbric and Alleria control the void. If it wasnât the case they would go insane.
This sounds plausible, if we ignore the fact that Blood elves are High elves and not different species. Anyways this could work as justification.
But the wayfarers Are the new generation and have normal hair styles and hair colors.
Whatâs the evidence that they have been initiated? âWayfarerâ means someone that is travelling, they are not apprentices, neophytes, initiates, etc. Sure they are interested in studying the void, but are they already controlling it? Or using it? I donât think so.
Embracing the Void comes at a terrible cost it seems. Who knew?
Why do you think they are getting Normal skins? Because High elves are going to embrace the void And will become Void elves. So it makes sense to get normal hair styles and hair colors.
I mean - thatâs a possiblity but seems a stretch as they were so adamant not to have a little go at Fel - not sure why becoming part of the Void is more attractive than just coming home to Silvermoon.
If by âterribleâ you mean become all edgy and cool? Then yes.
More like you are wishing they are not controlling it and using it. While, the opposite is clear.
Blondes do have more fun though, apparently.
Meh blonde⌠Let me have completely white hair instead! Or pitch-black!
Not that pseudo-white aka platinum blonde youâre rocking.
Well it seems the most likely probability that they are there to learn how to wield the Void.
Remember, these elves donât represent the majority of High Elves or Blood Elves.
Just the ones that found the Void to be interesting, tempting, etc.
Why else would they journey to the Telogrus Rift and be all like: âFinally, we can study without prejudice! Blablabla!â
