I was ready to take on BT last year for the Warglaives but sadly you postponed BC Timewalking so now I’m unable to do it. I have both the Warglaives from there but only way I can Tmog them is by doing TBC Timewalking.
Please can you just Tmog them if you actually have the glaives.
BC timewalking is still active. It doesn’t go away until tomorrow at 5 am so you still have time to do it and kill Illidan before reset to unlock the transmog.
As a level 50?
You can do it on any character as long as you have the warglaives achievment. You don’t need to complete it on a DH to unlock the transmog

If you have the Warglaives of Azzinoth achievement on your account, you’ll receive the Demon Hunter-specific appearance when you defeat Timewalking Illidan with any character.
So you don’t need to do it on the selected character. Thank god, thank you.
Is he even killable?
For ilvl 200 gear raid, the abilities are extremely overtuned (on both bosses and trash).
The purple lasers just kills people within 2 ticks. Heck I activated my Turtle (30% magic dmg reduction) and it was STILL doing good 50% HP dmg per tick.

Purple laser targets random person. Not a place. And it’s literally not healable because it kills you in 2 ticks.
from some old videos on youtube of the original TBC illidan fights, many players had ~10k hp while that purple barrage was doing 5400 dmg per tick to the target every 1 sec for 10 sec.
so i guess blizzard is only trying to give you real tbc experience 
Do you mean dark barrage in P2, or shadow demons in demon phase?
If you mean the barrage, that targets a random player’s location, and you can move out of it. If you mean shadow demons, those target and stun a random player, and the demons need to be killed before they reach the target. The target takes no damage until the demons get there. So as melee, stay far from Illidan, and when demons spawn, they should be killed off. Easy.
I dunno, I healed a BT timewalk last wednesday, and none of us healers had any problems on Illidan. Once the tanks started tanking the elementals properly (ie: not on top of each other, and not facing the raid), it was a walk in the park.
