I agree. And it would be wholly unreasonable to offer them all up every year. It’s just not suitable.
At least it would be in-game content honestly. Adding stuff in the cash shop, even if the cash shop is accessible to everyone because they can technically grind gold to buy tokens, is the laziest way to deliver nice stuff. And quite frankly, for me it’s not even satisfying. I don’t even care how things in the cash shop look, I know I’ll never get one myself simply because I don’t want to support the practice.

I think what Tifa means is every year would be a different mount. The HH is available every time that event is up.

Yeah I think most of them get that, they just feel that Blizzard should be throwing free mounts at them.
It’s not a sentiment I agree with and it’s possible to make the gold and get the mount for free that way. It’s not a route that appeals to me personally.
If you check Nostradamus he predicted all the WoW mounts in chronological order of release right up to and including this Pig.

I don’t want it for free, I just want to earn the mount in-game. If I wanted it for “free” I’d just buy it from the store, that’s the least amount of effort possible but then I’d inadvertently encourage more store mounts so it’s an eternal conundrum.
I do remember that yes, but so what? Some exclusivity is ok in my opinion.
Blizzard would earn 40 euros off of my mount if I did that, encouraging the store even further 
I suppose we just have a fundamentally different view on what is free and what isn’t free then. Playing WoW isn’t free so by extension nothing is free, moving the goalpost to where everything achievable in game is “free” so paid content is somehow justified doesn’t really make sense to me. A few more threads and we’re gonna need 2 hands to count how many times we’ve disagreed about the store.
So farm the gold in game and buy it with that. For god sake
@Punyelf, I strongly disagree with you here. As mentioned earlier in this thread, this isn’t a wish for a free mount.
Would you rather want an easily obtained mount via gold, or through actually playing the game’s content? That’s what this is all about. I think they should add it as an incentive to play an event where you can meet people, which is where much of the fun comes from in an mmorpg.

That is for free. There are lots of in game mounts for free that require effort in game in some way. The only ones I’d say in game that aren’t free are the ones from TCG which go for huge amounts of gold either via trading or AH. You could argue you could make the gold but you have to be some serious boost seller for that kind of gold. Unlike the gold you’d need for this store mount.
The only way these mounts are going to be available is via the store. They are a special occasion in another region and we are able to buy them. I would rather that than go back to not having them.
It is never going to be a in game event mount.
The number of mounts you can obtain in this game via play is a very long list.
As I said in my other reply any in game mount is free and included in your sub through whatever feat/task you have to accomplish to get them.
We don’t have to agree but people telling me over and over that they feel it should be included in the game is not going to change my opinion that I don’t think it should be. We should just agree to differ 
The mount changes every year. Before last year we didn’t get them at all. Now we have the option to buy them. People who don’t want to spend IRL money can buy them with gold that they can farm. Getting two tokens worth of gold is not an insane amount. Compare this to the millions required for TCG mounts.
I do still find it laughable that TCG mounts are fine to be astronomical costs but a two token cost for an instore mount is too much.

@Punyelf, Again, sorry but I disagree with you. Saying all mounts earned in-game is for free is like saying all store mounts are free because you can buy them with gold. Turns out gold holds actual value, and so do time. But let’s discuss that. The last boss in mythic raids usually drops a mount, is that one of the mounts that people want thrown at them for free in your opinion? Because it only requires time, skill and patience. Is the love rocket a mount which is thrown at the playerbase for free? You only have to kill a boss which takes less than 3 minutes.

They are free, you don’t have to do anything other than buy the game, pay the sub and play. Jump through the relevant hoops and you will get that mount. Some hoops may require a lot of reruns.
A paid for mount is one that is in the store. Unless maybe you buy a boost to get something, that could be classed as buying it.
I do the love rocket every year. The first time they allowed us to go on any char to do it I did it on all 50 characters. Then they changed the restrictions, however I still do it on every character that is eligible. I look forward to the day I get this mount and yes I still class it as free. IT’s free with a very low drop rate. RNG will shine down on me some day.
@Punyelf, I think we’ve come to terms with us being in disagreement, but you bring up a great example! You do the Love Rocket every year, you even look forward to it! That’s what I wanted from the pig, a reward that incentified me to play their event.
I can understand that people want the store mounts in game.
I just don’t think it’s a reasonable request.

What I don’t get is, what’s wrong with putting a period there? What is so wrong about everything being obtainable in-game? What benefits do you get for buying a mount in the store versus getting it in game?
I don’t really agree with your reasoning that it has to be in the store or nothing at all, because blizz could’ve easily whooped up a dungeon boss in a pandaria dungeon and had the mounts drop from the boss if they wanted to.
There are no laws put on blizzard that they’re only allowed to give china chinese themed mounts so it’s not an argument in my opinion, it’s a cop out if anything to somehow make it sound like blizzard are doing us a favor.
It’s a bit sad how this turns into a player versus player type thing when it’s blizzard who should be the target here.

That being said, looking at the youtube video advertising the mount, it has a staggering 12k dislikes versus 1,4 likes. So if Blizzard should ignore the people who wants an easy mount is a discussion in itself.
