Was Sylvanas good before imprisoning of Sargeras?

With all the answers Sylvanas gave us at 8.2.5 one questions bothers me. With her goal to extinguish all life, why had she aided the Horde during battle of Broken shore? Why she as the warchief helped to stop the Burning Legion?
Was it because during that time she hadn’t had any bargain with Helya or Azshara? Does that mean that she became “corrupted” after the legion was defeated?

That was not the story the writers wanted to tell at the time.

Sylvanas is or was whatever the plot demands it to be. See Illidan redemption. Currently she is just twirling her mustache and it’s frkn boring.

I really don’t know but it is an interesting question. Ogmot’s dream journal mentions a victory that went unoticed and someone that was awaken.

That means she wanted the legion’s defeat also.

She wanted Sargeras defeated because if Sargeras won she’d be a steaming pile of ashes floating in the vacuum of the cosmos. It really isn’t anything complex or mysterious.
