What is it with this trend of ancient, hidden underground civilizations near the earth’s core armed with insane technology and knowledge who use an artificial sun (Beledar, the Cradle) that I’ve also been seeing on brainrot (mostly AI) reels over the last year or so where people go under the ice and there’s Kennedy and Lincoln etc playing chess or something and there are spaceships and stuff?
Metzen: Hey I need new zones for the Void saga, whatdya got
Not to mention Blizzard said in several interviews that their big regret for Northrend was NOT doing Azjol-Nerub right. Who wants to bet they decide to do Azjol-Nerub right (though I also wouldn’t be surprised if Harrowsdeep turns out to be Azjol-Neurb in some form…).
Oh, and the Worldsoul Manifold itself. That’s probably going to take us underground too.
To be fair that was a freaking shame since supposedly Azjol-Nerub spreads out underneath entire freaking Northrend which sounds quite likely considering Nerubians ability to pop up about anywhere in the zone.
We shouldn’t be surprised that we will be going a lot undeground in this trilogy. Even the logo of the first of the three (the war within) both had the dual meaning of the word “within” and also had the crumbling planet.
While technically that’s right; I’ve been playing with Stinky Bright Potion active and there’s an actual sky in there (with roots in it, of course), so to me it doesn’t feel underground at all.
Yeah. And guess where Azeroth, the world soul, is…
