What are your thoughts on Valdrakken?

I think it’s decent.

I’m one of very few who disliked Dalaran, so Valdrakken actually sits at the top of my personal tier list for expansions’ main hubs.

The worst will forever be Zuldazar, no contest.

Please ask me again in one hour when the Valdrakken loading screen of death will grant me enough time to think about your question to full extent…

I’m playing with the same computer I had back in Legion, and I’m having 0 problem with Valdrakken loading screens.
I was, however, stuck in 12 minutes loading screens in Legion Dalaran.

I have a freeze of 5sec when logging.
In any case isnt bad. My preferred one is boralus but valdrakken isnt oribos. And this is a huge step ahead.

Uninspired, boring, and poorly optimized.
Still better than Oribos, but so is the bubonic plague, so do with that as you will.

Tbh I have a better computer than back in Legion, so I can’t confirm. The loading screen isn’t the worst though. What’s really annoying is the camera not following my movements anymore every now and then but that’s no specific Valdrakken issue.

Otherwise, capital design is nice though I wish they would’ve given a bit more purpose to the flight-based quarters. Mentors for herbalism and alchemy should be in Emerald dragon ward. Enchantment and inscription in Azure dragon ward and so on. Somw of them are quite empty parts of the town.

I like it, it’s pretty.

Ye i like the visual but somehow everytime i TP there frames drop for a few seconds

It is disabled and settings on high instead of ultra on a 3080, still a bit choppy.

As the city itself it’s alright, everything is accessible in a few seconds with dragonriding.

I love it. I love to fly around it while waiting for queue pop. Any future city will have a tough competition.

And I actually like our Zandalari pyramid, it were just the logistics that sucked before flying.

Huge improvement over Oribos. Feels easy to navigate around and pleasant to spend time in. I guess my 2nd favorite expansion hub after the MoP Shrine.

It runs terribly for me so I haven’t stood there enough to be able to enjoy the view :frowning: Even my hearthstone is in the shady sanctuary on my characters

It’s pretty and the vendors are very very well placed

Ignoring the performance drops.

Very well designed, each area is distinctive so you can navigate without having to resort to the map once you’ve familiarized yourself with it.

It also feels alive with plenty of npcs doing their own things and plenty of little fun things to discover.

As for the art, it’s pretty great, but I feel that they missed a opportunity not expending the city more in three dimensions as it’s the home of a race capable of flight.

I don’t experience framedrops but then again i have a high end system

I have a 3k€ PC, had no issues in prior city hubs or outside of Valdrakken.

I think it’s laggy.
Laggy = Bad

Zuldazar wasn’t laggy.
No lagg = Good.
