What do I have to do?

So, I am curious, my goal is to increase the graphics level in wow.
I bought myself an new mobo with I7 6700k processor
16GB ddr4 memory (corsair vengance)

But…still the recomended setting is the same as with my I5 processor

So here is the thing…
before was
Intel Core i5-4460
8GB DDR3 memory
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

and now is
Intel Core i7 6700K
16GB DDR4 3200MHz
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

question is…is it the graphics card thats the bottleneck or what could be hindering me from going upwards in graphics setting.

I would be very grateful for any tips.

WoW is bottlenecking you, terrible optimsation :woman_shrugging:
I get the same fps drops with my 1070 as my 2080 ti.
A better GPU never hurts though.

true, I had a 4GB gtx 960 before and had better graphics, so I am guessing I got to get a 4 or 6GB graphics card with a good processor

Your GTX 1050 is definitely a bit of a bottleneck as it isn’t that powerful of a GPU, but you can only hope to go a little bit higher before the game ends up being the problem due to the engine.

Your CPU is fine though, especially if you overclock it a bit.

Yeah, thats what I think too,
Asus GeForce RTX 2070 ROG Strix Gaming OC HDMI 3xDP 8GB
is the one I been peeking at, to get graphics setting to at least 6 or 7
