I do PS + Dome + Rapture, and by the time I finish my mindblast penance combo, people have died three times?
I eat one dr stun and people get globaled twice
I do ultimate pen and people eat more sh*t than the penance bolts can heal through
I grip someone into LoS, top them, and the second they step out they’re immediately dead again?
What is going on? I hit 2k cr with about 2,1mmr earlier, and right now I literally cannot keep anything alive / stabilize the team enough for me to utilize atonement (which is the godawful gameplay design blizz kept pushing for disc)
Any disc mains or exp players out here able to shine a lil’ light on this, cus I’m genuinely clueless as to whether or not its just a skill issue, or if they gutted this spec somehow to make it as horrendous of an experience as it is?
If you’re talking about solo shuffle
you need to realise its a dps race involving people who wont use cds or will dr their team mates 24/7
so to some amount it will be tough at times

Don’t even bother, disc is total garbage spec unfortunately. And will always be, because if someone else has 1 million of CC, utility, kicks, groundings, ai pets, totems, hots etc etc etc that’s ok, but apparently 1 melee fear on 30 sec cd as an immobile spec is good enough. They gave us a TWO SEC. silence in WoD and then took it away immediately. Too op LMAO.
Numbers won’t change anything. Spec needs more CC and doors of shadows.
Or feather 70% and partial slow resistance.

EDIT: it is ALWAYS a skill issue. For you, for me, for 3k discs. It doesn’t change the fact that the spec is garbage. You always can play better. But any complete rtrd on rshaman or rdruid can win without literally doing anything. So it’s up for you to decide: do you want to bother and overcome?
EDIT2: disc’s problem is that people hate this spec on lower ratings. Crybabies all over the forums complain about discs even if the spec is dead. And Blizzard somewhy apparently favors them, so we’re kinda trapped.
EDIT3: last one, I promise. Clowncapped, almost all streamers ranked disc as S or A+ when it literally was B- at max. I called them wrong, but ofc StReAmEr SaiD is what prevails. And now in 2 months LMAO they start to realize and actually get disc lower in their tierlists. “B-b-b-but st-st-stamina b-b-buffs” KEKW

Or a new mastery, i always find disc mastery not fitting at all amd i think mastery caus some balance issues, maybe a sort of multistrike witch work for damage and healing
I remember in season 1, when my melee wings hpala was gutted and caster pala was trash from the beginning, I decided to try out disc. I got to 1600 with it relatively quick and easy(not an achievement I know). The spec I played last time in wrath still felt good and I was winning with it.
In season 3 I decided to have a look at disc once again and after 3 ss I stopped.

Disc is absolutely useless as a healer. Nobody wants to play with it. The current design contributes absolutely nothing for your team to win a game.
It requires an actual rework. The current design makes having a Disc priest in your team an automatic handicap to winning.
Atonement is an outdated mechanic that Hydra said would become useless many years ago and it did. Shields are not real healing throughtput.
Zero CC outside of a crappy melee fear.
Lack of PvE healing.
Lack of any utility for the team outside of reducing and delaying damage which you can’t heal anyway.
It’s currently a spec which is 150% reliant on your teammates winning the game for you. There is nothing you can do as Disc as an outplay to potentially carry the game and secure the win. If your team doesn’t essentially carry you to victory, you lose.
Resto Druids can:
PvE heal
Cyclone people
Stun people
Root people
Resto Shamans can:
PvE heal
Root people
Move people away with static field
Kick
Hex
Stun
Holy paladin can:
PvE heal
Give freedoms
Give BoPs which are broken into melees
48 second Sac CD (1 min but with 12s duration makes it have 20% uptime)
Stun
Repentance
Aura mastery
Even Holy priest is better because at least it has a stun and actual healing that can keep people alive. Of course Holy priest struggles sometimes when having to heal some specs, but generally it is more viable than Disc is because people’s health bars can be refilled and they can win if they press their Def CDs properly in most games
