Sorry but herb gathering and boe farming arent viable ways to make gold anymore. That maybe works the first few weeks an expansion is out. Making alot of gold fast is all about boosting im afraid.
Paragon rep bags give 4-5,5k gold. If you havea few chars, just keep doing emissaries by one-kill quests (rares, azerite one-kill WQs), that takes like 10-15 minutes at most (based on travel time). If it overlaps with an invasion, even better, more rep. Vendor all you can, especially if emissary gives a weapon (100g+). You can also try to sell mogs and pets from islands.
Past raids are decent as well. If you have a 111+, highmaul and BRF can fetch some nice gold, as can MoP raids (though SoO has some lengthy boss fights). Cata and MoP raids also drop pets to sell.
