What is the probability of TBC release?

Agree 100%

Hard to say how they will impliment it, but knowing Classic it is pretty easy to say that Blizzard have often dealt with issues and implimentations in the ‘‘easiest way out’’ so I assume the way they are going to do it is probably: All current servers goes over into TBC, but before that players will have the option to ‘‘move’’ their character to a NEW realm entirely, that will forever be Classic.

I do also hope that at the same time as TBC have released, or a little while after, that they create a whole new realm for Classic, a ‘‘FRESH’’ if you want, where no transfers are allowed (from the current Classic forever realm) and everyone have to start from level 1 with a brand new character again, successfully having a ‘‘reset server’’ where a whole new community, guilds and characters have to form, new echonomy-- and where players have to restart their journey, build new friendships. You can’t jump into Naxx with a fresh dinged 60, and perhaps even the AQ effort and gate need to be reopened on that realm, making people have to raid through content, run dungeons, and start the whole anew.

If blizzard is goin to change the Classic and its servers and their basic structure Blizzard just should go for total support and max changes not just little adjustments for pleasing a little group of criers in forum, Blizzard should host some server space for people to legally mix and modify their servers inside the Orginal WoW and its clients, not just this FRESH crap atleast it would be something blizzard actually itself supports than just forum criers as there was that kind of system in WC2 and thats where DoTA and MOBA Games was born.

I have played wow private servers and classic and TBC both had perfectly health playerbases.

You have to realize that your not the only person who doesn’t like TBC and wants to remain on classic so dont stress because there are plenty of players to fill Classic-TBC-Wrath servers and keep all of em feeling alive.

I have played WoW since the start 15 years ago. I just find it funny how many times I have seen people on the forums complaining how “it will die” and in the end it never has and it never will die for the next years to come. Not classic not tbc and not retail.

With or without TBC, classic will have enough dedicated players to keep the game fun. Personally I probably jump to TBC since I will crush all my enemies as an OP warlock in TBC evil smile

Anyways, to answer OP’s question: I say 99% sure TBC will be released.

Everything is finite. Imagine not willing to have fun, because it might end sometime.

It’s based on what people in guild chat say when we discussed this.

OBVIOULSY “most” people think they want TBC. Personally I don’t know if I do but I know I want to give it a try. I know 100% sure I want Classic fresh though. But after thinking about this for a while, 2 years with TBC and a break from Vanilla would feel nice and build up an epic hype for Fresh Vanilla, maybe even after WOTLK Classic. I can wait that long. The Classic fresh hype is the best time I have ever had in any game.

I liked vanilla wow LOADS more. Classic is still nice though.

Well, the thing is, TBC will die, too. And after that WotLK will die, because instead of every realm being 90% Horde, it will now be 90% Alliance, because of the EMFH racial.

I will remain a dwarf, like always, so I will probably enjoy WotLK the most, since I can be out in the open without dying constantly to bloodthirsty savages who play Horde and outnumber me 1v8.

I think Classic BC -would- have brought way more players than Classic did.
But to be honest, the vast majority of players who were more casual and/or expected vanillaesque experience left Classic and its min maxing toxic speed run and faction imbalance meta with a terrible taste in their mouth.

It might have reminded them all that was wrong with Retail and that the problem was the players all along and not the game.

They now know better and will avoid BC as Well. That is why i think BC launch won’t be as good as Classic.

This is such a load of nonsense.

I think TBC launch will be a mess without serious thought put into managing a mega server population all going through 1 portal to play in 1 zone.

Advice would be group up and head to zangermarsh or even nagrand if you can down the mobs, mob grind a bit and wait for hellfire to calm down.

Exactly my clever gnome brother!
Myself for example will stay away from tbc because of exact reason you wrote (+maybe few more minors).
But just a maybe I would try once more if classic fresh launches and even then not going for max levels.

More ppl migrating from PvP to PvE realms doesn’t mean the game is dying. At most, it would mean the PvP hype died out.

To be fair though, it’s a pve game.
