So I quit classic just as Cata came out, but my realm Earthshaker was dying at the time and there was free transfers to Firemaw. I moved 3 characters to Firemaw before quitting.
I am now wanting to return to mists classic and want to move all my characters to one active realm. But for some reason my remaining Earthshaker characters can only be moved to Mirage Raceway and my Firemaw characters can only move to Shek’zeer….
What is the logic in this???
The old servers are now locked, and transfer to a new ‘‘copy’’ of the old. The new servers (Shek’zeer and Mirage Raceway) are all connected now into one ‘‘mega server’’ similar to Retail. So you basically move to the new version of your old server, and if you want them all on same, you’ll have to pay to get them to one particular server.
You can put your characters in the same guild etc, no matter what server.
Ah right okay so Mirage raceway and Shek’zeer are effectievely merged servers? So I wouldn’t be restricted having half my characters on one and half on the other?
Just seems so odd do be offering different free transfers depending what dead realm your character is on…
They did it this way so people wouldn’t lose their character names by forcing everyone to transfer to Mirage directly
Forcing ? no one EVER forced you to migrate to another server, but sheep will be sheep
