there are two fire builds - one for ignite stacking and spread and other with flamestrike - what is the difference in dps between those builds? I heard flamestrike is bad now?
There’s a fair chunk of difference between them, it’s almost always better to go the Ignite spread route over Flamestrike, regardless of the target count.
I think the only area a Flamestrike build comes ahead is on short lived enemies where your Ignite wouldn’t have the chance to deal much damage.
Flamestrike is beyond bad.
Tested it with stationary target dummies and you get much better damage with ignite and spread.
Flamestrike / living bomb does laughable damage in comparison and honestly its clunky to use now if you can even bring yourself to waste talents on it.
Flamestrike is still better to use in dungeons when stuff dies fast and/or you have very little mastery. Combine with alexstraza’s fury, call of the sun king, pheonix reborn and take hyperthermia over skb.
Its not great dmg but its better than your ignite sponge getting insta killed by the dh or warrior. (Ignite cleave gets overwritten when you change targets).
