That’s fair. It doesn’t seem to be super uncommon after shuffling through the ff14 reddit but I’ve only experienced it in alliance raids myself, especially when 4 people run ahead and start the boss and then get mad when half the raid can’t get into their groups room.

just experimented with the hud layout
you can change hotbar sizes and move them to other places from there
the best choice was to reduce the size of the health and mana bar to 90%
and put it above the second row of abilities
because it overlapped with the experience bar
which was below the first row of abilities

The hype is only about the story (which is like 90% of what i see of the game. Whenever anyone plays it) and 10% gameplay. Besides the story, very few things i hear anyone hyped about even on here. And that says alot.
I’m not so sure, looking at wow mythic raiders streams it seems they enjoy the endgame a lot. On the forums yes, the hype was mostly about the story.

No matter what you think, having a patch each 77 days is objectively better than having a patch each 6 months. I can’t even believe that I have to argue about that.

I give them the benefit of the doubt. I believe they’ll deliver 9.1.5 till November, which would make 2 patches in an year, so average 6 months.

It seems the 2.5 sec gcd is more of a learning tool, because the game really picks up at level 50. As a rogue, I really don’t feel the gcd anymore, because of the ninjutsu skill and how its subskills have a 0.5 sec gcd. Basically within one global gcd I have to press 4 buttons. It has a cooldown, but while waiting for it, I use my slower rotation, cast buffs, stuns, the skill that removes the directional requirements for my backstab. Which I can use without going into stealth after triggering the proper ninjutsu.
WoW is a fast game about pressing no more than 7 button rotations. FFXIV is a slightly slower game that has much more elaborate and reactive it seems rotations and the GCD exists to accommodate that more complex gameplay.
There is absolutely no question FFXIV is a more complex game than WoW, and this allows it to have more interested and involved class gameplay.
