Honestly i loved night fae blink, i really hoped they would keep that one in the game as a outdoors toy even.
making every melee besides warrior do their full rotation from 10-30 yards away, or having infinite teleports that makes them impossible to escape.
this change made it so that melee doesn’t mean anything anymore and it also made it so that casters had to be designed with the assumption that melee have 100% up time, because turns out its really easy to be within 30 yards of a caster at all times. now every caster has multiple shield walls or huge self heals or immunities or shields and are often tankier than plate wearing bulky specs of yester-decade.
another thing this change did was make it so that everyone needs to be able to instant cast everything because again because its not fair to expect a wizard or healer to cast a lot while melee are kicking you from 15-30 yards.
this has also made it so that Blizzard is trying their best to hold onto the old identity of classes like mage as an example, which use to be quite slippery, so they just made them even more mobile, but its literally never enough because again, being within 30 yards of a caster is a joke. so what you end up with are these extremely over the top outlier examples, where yester-decade class design in an actual melee, arms warrior, faces current year reactionary balancing in response to melee ranged hybrids, arcane mage, and the warrior has to get within 5 yards of a spec that has a half dozen blinks, roots and immunities and instant cast slows.
the damage is too great at this point to undo it and what was it for? who knows - probably raids if i had to guess. having half your dps specs be melee that require you to design bosses so that everyone can be within 5 yards of the boss at all times probably limits what you can do a great deal. its much easier to design a boss where 30 yards is the cut off by comparison. you don’t have to care about dropping flames around the boss or having the boss float in the air for a while and what that might do to guilds that are melee top heavy. now, everyone is a ranged and you just bench the warrior that fight.
Idk balance druid being able to 100-0 like they’re popping cds on you without actually hard casting anything and not having incarn is wild.
This is the problem and Blizzard should make all melees have their rotation in only melee.
And also prune away mobility from ranged most noticeably mage and boomer.
Right now we have this and this makes warrior tremendously challenging to play.
I feel very bad for warrior. Especially for arms.
I never saw boomer cast anything this expansion.
Everything is instant and on top of that they have heart of the wild that makes them never die while it is active
and no matter how much damage you dish out they just wont die while it is active.

Fleshcraft in stealth into unstoppable 100-0 MM oneshot. Also fastidious resolve trinket on rogues and echoing resolve on warlocks, anyone remember that?
Oh and how could we forget Shadowy Duel. I love that is gone and I hope it will never be back.
