What's up with the cost of the new timewalking rewards?

I paid for a month, I regret it since day 2. Just here until PoE event is up. Nothing special.

It does not matter how many badges i have, the new cosmetics are just overpriced. The mount as overpriced big ticket item I can understand, cosmetics are a hard pass for me. I won’t spend 3k badges for a single look.

I started with 25k badges. Found them unused in my alts.

That is different from what i mean :man_facepalming: not even the close to the same

I thought the same at first, but then i realized that those rewards are not event rewards aka they will be available in the future as well.
No need to stress, you will have enough badges at some point in the future.

Honest to god, bunch of edited by moderatorthat play this game (or at least post on here!)

If you want more things, play more.

If you don’t then don’t.

It’s that simple.

And it’s by design.

Part of their job is to keep people playing and this facilitates that, whilst rewarding players who wish to do it.

If you just logged in and got everything for nothing then there would be no reason for you to keep logging in, which means you would eventually cancel the sub.

And if everyone does that, the game dies completely.

I thinked new items for TW. I would guess they will stay in vendors for years wihout remove if wow 20th anniversary event over in Jan 2025.

Am I right?

It is when you combine it with a request for stuff to cost less.
A game like WoW is not meant to be completed; and those who do should have to put in a considerable effort to do so.

so how would you feel if they removed story mode and lfr to force you to complete the story ? aaking for a price reduction is not going to harm anyone.

unless you play multi alts like some of us do people will never earn the tokens.

The legion tw vendor has a shield for 1800 badges I think.

That was my issue. I have quite a few of them from playing back then. And most of them are ugly things from ye olden days.
Not even an upgrade

That’s a completely different thing. Strawmanning at its finest.

People will be done faster with getting those rewards and complain there’s nothing to do. That’s harmful.

Then they’ll just have to pick which rewards they like best.
I don’t see anything wrong with that.

oh so its ok for you to strawman but not others.
i guess you think its fine to do on avg 11 dungeons and raid quest for an item .
maybe go raid normal to get your story done then if you dont like things easy . we are going off topic so lets leave it here as you seem to want the easy life wben it comes to you but others can jog on i guess pretty selfish attitude.

Me and my friend were talking about this last night, he told me just to spam TW dungeons to farm tokens for 2007 item recolours. Yeah I think I’ll pass on that one, insanely overpriced.

I wasn’t strawmanning. I have an opinion about this issue, that’s all.
And I’m not going to change my mind because you tell me that you disagree.

:person_shrugging:t3:

Bringing up the same COMPLETELY DIFFERENT premise.
Story =/= cosmetic stuff.

One is an essential, basic part of an RPG game that you should be able to experience no matter what your skill level is.

The other is completely optional.

Now stop acting like this and making personal attacks because we disagree.

I said nothing personal attack or otherwise so deal with it .i mean if you call selfish an attack what is the world coming too.

Who are you to say what is what in a game, collector’s are just as valid as you and paye the same sub.

So wouldn’t it be a huge Quality of Life improvement for collectors to design the game to be completable within a reasonable time frame, by allowing obsolete rewards to be obtainable through a fraction of the original grind without requiring no-lifing?

This would not interfere with the progress of players of the latest Season or even expansion.

We already do have such complaints, like the one thread that wants content to be released every 3 months instead of 6. Also, it has been the go-to solution to check one’s achievement points when there is a complaint about not having anything to do in-game.

WoW is lots of games at the same time. It’s a raiding game. It’s a seasonal ladder game. It’s a PvP game. It’s a solo game. It’s a casual game. It’s an economy simulator game. And it’s also a collectathon game. Focusing on only one aspect of the game and spending average or higher-than-average playtime will indeed see you run out of content of that aspect. But attempting to participate in multiple aspects will see you run out of time before you run out of content. And then the carrot on the stick disappears and is replaced by 2 more carrots.

well you shoudl have had enough from last 10 years of when they were aviable

Another piece of the treadmill.
I’ve been very on and off with wow so I came into this event with like 15000 of em.
Grabbed a few things I really want and I’m pretty sure most of the other items aren’t my top priority.
But they did raise the prices just to clean up peoples stacks and another incentive to stay on farming items
