All my characters are gone from forum. This ginger-bearded dork is the only one left. Again.
This problem, this company, something something subscription, I don’t even know, man.

It’s issue forum. No worry.
Something try log out and log in. If retail characters could show in list

It sure does.. tried logging out/in, doesn’t help
I tried clearing cookies and even installing a different browser and logging from there. Still just the Classic characters available. It’s not on our end with cookies or something.
Posted once and bam! back to classic toons 
Few days passed and it happened to me again, for like 10th time already.
But this time the trick to log out and back in does not work, so I am cooked.
It’s the armory getting bugged again. Try looking for you char on it and it won’t load. That’s where the issue is.

Always worth a try but sometimes it’s just forcing Classic on us.
I mean, look at my character. In a game, I am pretty well transmogged, and my icon here shows some half head with some obstruction from one of my very old transmogs from a year ago, I think that obstruction is a sword or whatever it is 
I am clearly unable to show up in my icon as I am showing up in a game.

Delete all your classic character … 
Armory is back and working, so if you log in and out now, you should be able to see Retail characters again.
The transmog you have in the first slot is what shows on the armory
This was my previous Forum posting character… I can still switch to him.
Are some players not playing as their alt’s enough, for the Armoury to register that they still exist…??
Personally, I play as many of my 29 characters as often as I can; many have Bank duties, so I’m regularly transfering items to/from them…
I don’t think it’s about character activity. The armory is just bugged, this is basically my main and it still switches me from it for some reason. And the characters that it’s giving me as options I haven’t played since Wrath Classic, respectively Pandaria Classic lauch to get the mount.

Nah when it throws people into Classic only characters it’s purely armory related and down to Blizz.
I don’t even get my Classic characters as an option for Forum use… mostly 'cos I don’t (want to) play them (any more).
I log into the game & the Forum several times a day & barely notis an “Armoury anomalies” (not saying they’re not there, though).
That’s the thing, I usually don’t get them either. And if anything, the Anniversary TBC chars are more played and yet I don’t even see those when the bug happens, it’s only the least played ones that they are giving me as options.
It also doesn’t affect everyone at the same time. I didn’t get hit this time.
