Where's the actual customer support?

I hate when every ticket gets replied with an automated message telling me to submit a bug report, essentially ignoring the original question.

When did GMs lose their power to assist with actual in game issues? I used to take top tier customer support for granted within WoW but recently in Classic it’s like talking to ChatGPT.

Case 1:

Multiple tickets with evidence, probably hundreds of in game reports towards someone hard griefing an entire faction. 4 ticket replies from various GMs with assurances of investigation and the griefer in concern has been online on a daily basis doing the same exact thing forever since.

Case 2:

Lost items in raid, provided evidence. GM ignored the entire ticket and submitted an automated response to submit a bug report.

Is this inability, lack of motivation or directions from above? WoW is still on par with the most expensive subscription based services I use and the customer support has lately been trash compared to any other game I’ve had issues with.

Hi there Bupu,

Both of the cases you describe have dedicated reporting functions and neither would be appropriate to create a ticket to contact a Game Master directly for.

You can read more about this in these support articles:

While I can certainly appreciate wanting to have your own cases addressed specifically and personally, that’s not always feasible and instead using these reporting systems will allow us to aggregate relevant details and prioritize resolutions for all impacted players.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!

I remember years ago having a specific issue with an item from a yearly event in my bags that shouldn’t have been there reducing my fps specifically in instanced content went from 300+ FPS to 60. Their response was because it was 60 there wasn’t a problem! It was only that one character too. Took me a while to find out what it was but I did and they threatened to ignore my tickets if I kept making them lol. Always take the laziest path. That’s just how the world is.
