I got my pvp horsey a couple weeks ago and just jumped on it and rode off in to the sunset never to set foot in a BG again

This is the main issue, shield/block related mechanics are useless in PvP and abilities like Flameshock isnât efficient as in PvE. Shaman and Paladin lack of physical damage skills and single target have never been fun for players who prefer melee.
For that reason warrior is still the most fun tank to play, because he actually does have physical damage skills. Sure high armor of any opponent reducing his damage but Shield warriors have a lot cc and rupts which actually avoids damage 100%.
Warrior is how a great melee class and tank should look like.
While Shaman tanks only have their place in PvE , which I really enjoy to play in SoD but in PvP Shaman is still a caster with auto hit mechanics similar to Vanilla Paladin. Itâs horrible for someone who loves to play melee.
Half of the team is afk cause of this
Most pvpers enjoy easy/free wins
Its still a win to them even if enemy team isnât playing /throwing game
Itâs down to whether you want to semi afk and stomp on non premades or go full blown afk when facing premades as a group of randoms

They dont PvP for the joy of PvP. They PvP for the gear grind for whatever reason.
I thought I wanted the gear, but pvp just isnt worth it the time /effort, SOD pvp can only appeal to certain types of brainâs imo

No balance so 1 vs 1 is pointless in many cases
Larger battleâs come down to who has the greater number of broken classâs at the moment
If the game was more balanced and people where doing real pvp like arenaâs not premadeâs vs pugs then I might agree with the posters statment
But they probably just get a semi from waiting 30minutes to gank a lowbie in âworld pvpâ and feel like they own the world afterwards.

In many ways they shouldnât balance the game for 1v1, not even 3v3, thatâs what destroyed PvP in retail.
They should balance the game for group fights⌠but at the moment, itâs so unbalanced for group fights evenâŚ

Yes, premade in an MMO is a good thing. But the way it is used here is different. âLFM AB premade for queueâ. This is not premade, it is the way to avoid waiting 15-20 minutes
I have been grinding honor the past few weeks and never seen any âAB prem for queueâ.
All premade are about a solid comp (3 heals as much boomies/hunters as possible and a few warriors) and either 5 point cap win under 6 min or 4 point cap and farm honor at their GY.
I didnât see a big difference in queue time by playing solo or premade tbh.
Yeah but balancing for grp fight means nothing and everything doesnât it ?
If we look at it from this perspective then only Pala/Sham should be on the radar since any other class/spec being OP can be played by both faction, therefore balancing the encounters in BG.
Heâs got a point though in saying that PvP is competitive and requires fast reaction/class knowledge. People attracted by PvP usually want a challenge and the satisfaction of a well-played encounter.
Maybe one of the issue with PvP lies with a good amount of people in BG being there without really wanting to be there. Iâd say that the current imbalance has a great impact upon peopleâs mindset where you sometimes canât be asked to do your best against overwhelming odds (pug vs premade - fully geared class against freshly dinged - OP FoTM against bottom barell spec, etc.) but when the players donât even try and tag BG already planning on AFKing, you canât then expect much.

Why would I join a solo random with only 50-60% of players trying to win for their faction while they carry the rest of lazy afk noobs. Imagine being so stupid.

You dont need to join pugs. If they made premade Vs premade, you could join a team and play until you get the cramps.
Why is it so bad to allow randoms play Vs randoms?

random vs random should be a thing too
