Why did they remove “vigor” or whatever it was called? No way to get it back now from diving or flying close to the ground? Seems like a nerf to sky riding?
New system is way better. Charges have a lower default cooldown. Whirling Surge doesn’t use charges. Lift Off, from the ground, doesn’t use a charge.
Riding fast/diving or being close to the ground DOES increase the cooldown rate so that you get charges back faster.
Pretty sure you’re wrong on that last part. I see no difference in recovery when diving or flying close to ground…
You can literally see the cooldown change when Riding fast/diving or being close to the ground if you mouse over Surge or Skyward Ascent while riding.

Well, stop being stubborn and look again. Where it says 10 sec recharge on the tooltips. It will change to 6 sec recharge and down to 4.8 sec recharge depending on the condition.
It doesnt “say” anything. There’s a microscopic gcd animation on the slot, that’s it?

Well, I don’t see it. My game must be bugged then. I’m having other problems too, besides the keys randomly rebound, I can not zoom out much on my tauren character, it’s very upclose. Not a problem on undead or night elf. or orc

I’m very happy vigors removed. I can free faster fly.
Since vigors was make me sometimes stress after vigors run out.
If it’s true then I guess it’s not that bad. Though I’d still like to see a small bar of sorts showing the charges or energy. Maybe it just takes some time getting used to. I’ve still not gotten used to playing hunter without barrage, it’s 50% less fun without that ability.
Any other sneak changes that weren’t in the patch notes?
I agree that something bigger showing your charges should be put on screen somewhere.

I noticed this too - easily resolved but a bit of a random change.
As for the changes to Skyriding - I prefer this version.

Flying close to the ground or diving makes the recharge time of Surging Forward and Whirlwind Surge to be reduced. It’s dynamic.
They still need to remove the charges entirely, remove the 30sec cooldown for Whirlwind Surge (or reduce it down to 1 second) and make skyriding faster. I still need more than 15 seconds to run from one end of the world to the other.
I agree, it can be tiresome after one runs out vigor

the first Cd of the Surge forward spell is 10 second but as soon as you hit the second one it turns to 6 second and it has 5 charges left
the first 2 charges of Skyward Ascent are 10 seconds cd but as soon as you hit the third one it turns to 6 sec CD
basically they get ready way faster than the older version

there was several reasons and i only know one of them. there was a bug that could allow you get multiple extra vigor points i think.
Couple abilities now being free is nice and all.
But I kinda wish we’d have option to get the Vigor bar back, it was easier to see how many charges were left, instead of having to look all the way down to the action bar. Especially with action bars showing it only as small number in bottom right corner of each action.
