WHy do you ppl so care about DPS instead of objectives?

Play for Alliance. Ppl very often put in chat the lines such like this: “Why I’m still playing for alliance?”, “I should play for horde”, “Look at our DPS”

And here is a few questions. I want play horde cause like Taurens, but don’t like undead. This is another kind of discussion, but PvP moment really interesting.

I don’t understand why ppl cares about DPS, killing blows. I saw many times that horde winning have lower stats in BG. Like example average Alliance HK 68 and 30 from horde, but horde win the BG. And when I;m play my Taurens I don’t see such complains in chat. Also Horde players often more friendly to each other.

So reasonable questions for me?

  1. I can’t google some PvP stats. This is true that Horde better in PvP? (where do you guys get stats?)
  2. Why ppl care about stats, they probably some individualists?
  3. Time zones. I’ve spotted playing on Euro zones that Alliance often winning in US timline, except BG’s against russian community. So Russian community really more strong than others?

  1. Not really. Think it is quite 50 50 atm
  2. Well, in the end no kills often means not being able to do the objectives. But better stats surely doesn’t instantly mean “win”
  3. Russians are better coordinated, have a more strict mindset when it comes to pvp, play exsessively much battlegrounds and almost always group up with at least 4 others.

People do tend to play death match on Bgs and ignore the objectives more often than not. I guess that’s the aspect of Bgs they enjoy the most overall as frustrating as this may be for players that care about objectives.

I think the same, but interesting some public statistics is available?

Not all, I’ve hande BG to allways kill EFC, warsong/twins, and I have less kills than other hunts. Just right now. Or if you are defending point on Arathi.

That’s exactly what I think. Deathmatch. But this is wrong I guess… For Deathmatch we have Arenas.

You’re right but there’s a huge number of casuals that don’t play arena on a regular basis and just queue for Bgs to have a bang. I’m not defending it but it’s just what it is.

For so long i’ve wanted an anti team death match mechanic added into the game.

Something like a no mans land debuff that discourages people to just sit mid all of wsg, like you get no hks or honor killing there after spending too long there.

People who sit mid in games like wsg always claim its to control mid yet still get 3 capped by a flag carrier who has least damage taken in the bg.
They would notice that more if they stopped looking at damage done and scoreboard kds.

Yup… win the scoreboard, never mind the game… forever having to remind people to chase the guy with the shiny red thing, God help you if you’ve taken the flag cos it is usually a miracle if anyone on your team even realises that either side has even picked up a flag, they’re usually too busy proving how awesome they are by getting ganked in a useless area of mid, then they rez and run as fast as they can to the spot where they died so they can once again show how awesome they are by dying in exactly the same spot. 15 minutes of demonstrating their awesomeness later, they have 2 hk’s, 10 deaths and we’ve lost 3-0

I q for alliance as queue times are literally 10 times shorter and it’s really random what you get.

For example yesterday I had 2 opposite Twin peak games. First game was complete garbage where people were fighting in the middle 8 ally vs 7 horde whole game. It was me an shaman on ally side doing objective, while there was warrior and 2 rogues on horde side doing objective. At one point I carried flag while going past the graveyeard and literally no1 gave a single s*t to escort me. I spent 5 min standing alone with the flag and no1 ever came to help. Eventually both rogues that were defending the warrior came, killed me, they caped and we lost.

The other game was very similar, however this time it was 3 of us who were playing objective.

Than there were tons of close games where both teams played objective.

Performance from the team is really random honestly. You never know what you can get.
